COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Deep dark brown, near black with tan head. Aroma is espresao and vanilla. Can taste the roast malt, vanilla and coffee. Very nice beer for one of the last cold days od the year.

355 mL bottle. The right colour, but not much head. Unsweetened cocoa powder and espresso in the nose. Not quite what I expected, but I’m not complaining. The flavour is more what I expected, with the srtong notes from the nose dialed back, but still present. There is some sweetness, but certainly not a lot. Creamy body. Thin at the end.

Dark in the glass, intense espresso in the nose. The beer starts dry, espresso-like, dark roasted. Intensive and still easy to drink. The mainpart is coffee, slightly sour, refreshing. In the aftertaste smoother, roasted-dry, slightly bitter.
Very nice stout. --> 12/12/12/12

A brown body with a brown head, nice retention and lace. It seemed to have a slight elevation of carbonation. Aroma had a strong roasted malt presence upfront, mild hints of cocoa balanced it out. Flavor was an excellent blend of sweet and roasted malts. Although at times the flavor seemed two-dimensional the beer was altogether good. A nice smooth finish. Easy to drink, but it did have some body to it. Carbonation seemed high but was not a negative factor.

Tap at stags head. Pours deep brown with small head. Nose is light chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, roasted malt, chalk, coffee grind, light fruitiness some earth. Flavors are subdued and finish is light. Ok stout

On tap, in a pint glass. Very smooth indeed. Slight chocolate taste, not overly aromatic. This is a really nice sweet / milk stout.

Not a huge aroma here. Thick dark beige head. Good sweet chocolate with roasted flavor. Slightly bitter. Lots of malts detected here. Soft body, not too thick.
