One of Bell’s all around best brews. Naturally it’s better on Draft but is easily one of the better stouts out there
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheBear11D (46) - Michigan, USA - FEB 3, 2013
The double cream pours nice and thick with a dark brown head that lasts a good while. The aroma is lacking but there are so many malty goodness flavors. A hint of chocolate and a hint of coffee but not a lot stands out. Very creamy and enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 b33f (23) - Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Poured into an English pint glass.
Appearance: Poured black, but appears to be a very dark brown with a red tinge when held underneath a light. Poured hard for about 1 finger of tan head. Lacing is nice.
Aroma: I’m not getting a very strong scent, just a little malt, and a little coffee.
Taste: Nice and malty with a bit of semi-sweet chocolate, with a milk and coffee aftertaste.
Palate: Slightly thick, and very smooth, leaves the palate with a pleasant milky coating.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 artmcd8 (655) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Malty sweet aroma. Pours deep brown black. Sweet taste with a crisp finish. A little thin in the mouth feel and a little too much carbonation. Still good. Bells never disappoints.

Thought this was pretty good. Pitch black, with a roasty and choclatey aroma. Flavor followed through to the taste with a nice bitter punch at the end. Nice silky mouthfeel.

Bottle. This is a super smooth stout that may be my favorite at this ABV level. Grab a 6er when you see it.

12oz bottle pours dark brown almost appearing black. Strong coffee aroma. Roasted vanilla coffee and malt taste.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jeremyh70 (355) - Missouri, USA - JAN 19, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2013 Had on tap at Waldo Pizza. Opaque black in glass with two fingers of tan head that leaves great lacing down the pint glass. Aroma of slight coffee, chocolate and caramel but nothing overpowering. Nice flavor of dark chocolate and some roasted coffee with a little residual sweetness. Body is moderate/full with nice soft mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good example of a cream stout. Easy drinking, especially at 6%.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 n00bface (137) - Minneapolis, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Bottle from Sharrett’s Liquor Store (Saint Paul, Minnesota, 25/11/12)
Chocolate, caramel, and coffee on the nose. Dark brown/black with a small tan head. Taste has a medium sweetness and a slight bitterness. Medium bodied, thick texture (for the style), average carbonation, and a bitter finish that seems a little out of place. Good, but not spectacular.

Wow, this beer is awesome! Dark stout with great aroma and flavors of coffee, chocolate, hint of vanilla. Nothing to overpowering and a soft carbonation that makes it go down smooth. I am a lover of stouts and this is my kind of beer, a 6% that I could drink all day!
