3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours deep deep brown with a foamy tan head that fades to a finger or so. Aroma is creamy roast malts and slighty bitter. Taste is creamy smooth and very mild - a bit milky/thin-watery. Not a ton of flavor depth. Roasted malts with chocolate and coffee vanilla cream. Again mild. Aftertaste is slightly bitter roast malt with a sense of cream but mouthfeel is more skinny than creamy. Not nearly as good as Expedition but easygoing and drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bottle. Pours a dark rich brown with a thick tan head. Head dissipates fairly quickly down to a thin layer, leaves moderate lacing. Aromas are almost a milk cream, caramel, chocolate, and a touch of coffee. Taste is lightly bitter, creamy and smooth. Finish is fairly long and the carbonation level is just right with small, almost nitrogen-like sized bubbles. Definitely need to do a blind taste test with this and Founders Breakfast stout. This is very good and very creamy on the tongue.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Bell’s Beer Social at Tap and Mallet. Not sure if they served this or Milk Stout. They were calling it Double Cream Milk Stout, and called it a sweet stout. Served after the porter, and tasted lighter than the porter, but it was good. Starts creamy, somewhat light in body. Ends smoky, heavy in the charred malts. Satisfying.
