Pours black with a thick light tan head. Aroma is sweeet espresso. Taste is smooth, sweet light coffee. The lactose makes itself known and the bitterness slides in for an easy finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 EtTuCthulhu (398) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 17, 2013
This beer smells like roasted malts and chocolate, and the appearance is an opaque black color with a medium tan head that fades to a thin layer on top of the liquid. The taste is complex with its mild umami, slight sweetness, and the touch of bitterness, and the palate combines a soft carbonation, a medium body, a slick texture, and a long malty finish.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Caytinator (577) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - APR 29, 2013
Black color, opaque, big buddy tan head. Extra good, malty goodness, laces well, complex for a cream stout, this is no one-trick pony. Roasty-toasty soft, great palate. I really love this beer, it approaches perfection.
3.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fidemaster (217) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - APR 26, 2013
It pours a rich black color. It is one of the best smelling beers I have ever had. Rich chocolate cream, with a hint of malt. I was really excited. The taste is pleasant but boring. It starts off sweet and creamy which is great. Then it goes to lite bitter coffee finish. The taste is not that complex and goes quickly. One of the other beers I just had (chocolate oatmeal stout) was much more complex and had 5 different complex flavors and then had a similar bitter finish. Although that beer was much too bitter at the end.

Bottle, last single in the store. Definitely spicy, with a nice long aftertaste of spices. Definitely a warmer, creamy and tasty. Malty but not to complex.
