3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beyond (23) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 1, 2012Pours very dark with a small tan head. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee. Balanced. Sweet but not overpowering. Understated alcohol with a smooth pleasantly bitter finish. Very nice and I’ll say it again: balanced.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Inbreak (248) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JUN 9, 2013
09.06.2013, 0,35l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich, dark malts, salty licorice, soy sauce, coffee, chocolate, caramel. Taste is far from living up to the nice aroma, very boring, dark malts, hay, sour coffee, dark sugar, caramel, chocolate, hints of licorice. Little but longlasting bitterness. Quite disappointed with this one compared to the nice aroma.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 S_Side_Smitty (222) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours black with a thick light tan head. Aroma is sweeet espresso. Taste is smooth, sweet light coffee. The lactose makes itself known and the bitterness slides in for an easy finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 EtTuCthulhu (461) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 17, 2013
This beer smells like roasted malts and chocolate, and the appearance is an opaque black color with a medium tan head that fades to a thin layer on top of the liquid. The taste is complex with its mild umami, slight sweetness, and the touch of bitterness, and the palate combines a soft carbonation, a medium body, a slick texture, and a long malty finish.
