3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours black with a 2 finger dark tan creamy head. Smells of sweet chocholate. Exactly what the bottle says, creamy. Chocholate, little coffee, with extra creamer. Medium mouthfeel, wish i had some hersheys to go with it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a deep, dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is creamy coffee with a little chocolate. Flavor is a mix of light coffee and chocolate at first, with a chocolatey finish. Nicely done.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beer pours (in Chimay glass) a pitch black oily liquid light can not penetrate with a small amount of caramel colored head. Aroma is of faint hop, molasses and strong malt (yummy!!). Flavor is of molasses, vanilla, and slight to small hops ending and faintly dry. Sampled at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This oneís aroma is overwhelming with coffee. There is a clarity of this note, but no dynamics, which means it smells like coffee and nothing else. The tan head never forms fully, even if aggressively poured. The brew is black. The taste is more than just that of coffee, but barely so. There are vague hints of chocolate and nuts, but just that. It is robust in that coffee flavor and it is to be appreciated for that. A bit carbonized on the palate, the brew is heavy and filmy, though it does not take away from it. This stout is enjoyable and well done, but of a singular hook.

4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
If all of the gods of all of the religions made a stout, this might be it. I rate this the best of all of the Bells beers Iíve had, or of all the beer Iíve rated probably... Vanilla aroma, pours reddish/black with tan head around the edges... not as opaque as some of the Bells beers, or other stouts. Flavors of coffee and vanilla. I guess I could see how this is a seasonal beer (probably would not rate as high in the summer)... but by the fire, or as a dessert beer, this might be hard to beat. The Kalamazoo is very good, the expedition overrated in some aspects, this is underrated by a long shot.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, pours a dark brown body with a tan head. Nice aroma of dusty sweet malts. Palate is fluffy and light and way way WAY too drinkable. The flavors are of dark sweet malts, some light cocoa, and maybe a hint of toffee or hard caramel. I found the flavors to be on the sweet side as the beer finishes somewhat tangy or tacky from a lack of bitterness. Very delicious indeed.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black pour, thin chocolate head. Sweet smells. Great in all aspects. Dark coffee, milk chocolate, and roasty taste with clean creamy finish. Mouth not too heavy, and 6.1% nowhere around. Good swirl is reminiscent of flavored coffee creamer or like french vanilla and chocolate wafers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle: Pours a clear very dark brown almost black with a solid tan head. The nose is driven by roast, chocolate and dark caramel. I get a lot of coffee, come dark chocolate and slight hop bitterness on the finish. The palate is medium light and disappears fairly quickly. Itís good but it doesnít begin to measure up to the other Bellís beers Iíve had.
