3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice dark color, subdued aroma, mostly malty. I smell a subtle sourness that concerns me, but in the taste it translates to a subtle fruitiness. Rich and creamy like a milkshake. Fruity with a bitter, dry finish. Quite quaffable.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a thick nearly black color with 2 cm brown head that is mostly diminishing. Aroma is dominated by chocolate, some hints of sweet malt. Flavors of chocolate, cream, and smoky malt. Medium body, significant lacing, no real alcohol detected, and lasting aftertaste. Very tasty and drinkable, almost a pop feel.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A very good sweet stout. Light to medium body. Great aroma. Nice and easy on the palate. A sweet stout should be less complex and sweeter than a darker more complex stout and bells really nailed that here.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Sharrett’s Liquor Store (Saint Paul, Minnesota, 25/11/12)
Chocolate, caramel, and coffee on the nose. Dark brown/black with a small tan head. Taste has a medium sweetness and a slight bitterness. Medium bodied, thick texture (for the style), average carbonation, and a bitter finish that seems a little out of place. Good, but not spectacular.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very very smooth and creamy. Chocolate aftertaste. Thin in the body. Very subtle porter like qualities in this gem of a stout.

First, I have not been a fan of Stout’s in general. But this is the CREAM of the crop. A perfect balance of sweet & bitter (bitter is better) Hint of chocolate, mocha ...nice after taste Chicago in the winter Yah

Black with a thin head that appears light tan in color. Deep aroma highlighting decadent malts (chocolate, coffee, roast) along with a touch of cream for coffee and gingerbread. Rich and chewy malt flavor with notes of chocolate, coffee and brownies.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours out almost black with a very nice thick tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Has a nice substantial mouth feel of sweet milky coffee malts with a nice slight finish of bitter. A very good cream stout.
