COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Creamy texture with smooth foamy bubbles. Somewhat average stout flavor -- brown sugar, acidic coffee, chocolate -- but smoother around the edges. The cream/lactose isnít as prevalent as I was expecting, but it adds a touch of sweetness. Unique for its softness and drinkability. Very approachable.

Black with a thin head that appears light tan in color. Deep aroma highlighting decadent malts (chocolate, coffee, roast) along with a touch of cream for coffee and gingerbread. Rich and chewy malt flavor with notes of chocolate, coffee and brownies.

12 oz. bottle. Pours out almost black with a very nice thick tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Has a nice substantial mouth feel of sweet milky coffee malts with a nice slight finish of bitter. A very good cream stout.

Pours black with tan head. Smells of milk and bitter chocolate. Very creamy mouth feel that turns to a semi-sweet chocolate. Finishes with a sharp bitter that is well balanced.

very much a coffee and molssas stout. had some prune in the aroma. not as heavy as some other Bellís stouts but very good. very well balanced with just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. will try again in the winter.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2013 Black with a tan colored head about 1 1/2 fingers worth. Aroma was mostly cocoa chocolate with some roasted malts. Flavor was sweet with milk chocolate up front with coffee following And some burnt malt on the finish. Had a thin almost water mouthfeel. Overall an ok nothing special stout.

missing an aroma for a double creme.. the head is a gorgeous off white. taste is smooth and creamy. Really well balanced, has the bitterness but is nicely balanced with sweetness. not their best beer by any means but still better than most

Pours a dark iodine color with thin mocha head. Sweet roasted chocolatey coffee notes with thick, syrupy and very smooth mouth feel. Good to great stout.

Pours black with dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, lots of roasted malt. Flavor is true to the aroma, with a big creamy character of malts and coffee. Simple, yes, but very tasty. Sometimes, damn it, you just want a solid beer. This is it, with no frills. Could use some more hops though. Smooth mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. Pours almost black. Taste of coffee and cream, with a hint of chocolate. Itís quite tasty but i prefer the expedition stout. Batch: 8732
