Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Bottle, pours a dark brown body with a tan head. Nice aroma of dusty sweet malts. Palate is fluffy and light and way way WAY too drinkable. The flavors are of dark sweet malts, some light cocoa, and maybe a hint of toffee or hard caramel. I found the flavors to be on the sweet side as the beer finishes somewhat tangy or tacky from a lack of bitterness. Very delicious indeed.

Black pour, thin chocolate head. Sweet smells. Great in all aspects. Dark coffee, milk chocolate, and roasty taste with clean creamy finish. Mouth not too heavy, and 6.1% nowhere around. Good swirl is reminiscent of flavored coffee creamer or like french vanilla and chocolate wafers.

12 oz bottle: Pours a clear very dark brown almost black with a solid tan head. The nose is driven by roast, chocolate and dark caramel. I get a lot of coffee, come dark chocolate and slight hop bitterness on the finish. The palate is medium light and disappears fairly quickly. Itís good but it doesnít begin to measure up to the other Bellís beers Iíve had.

Black pour with a foamy khaki head. Rather odd milky aroma ... not much else but I think the beer was still a bit too cold. Flavor of coffee, toffee and molasses with a tingly bitter finish. Thick mouthfeel with a tingly carbonation underneath. Quite nice ... but the weird milk-like aroma was a tad off putting.

A sweeter, more subdued version of Kalamazoo Stout. Not much in the way of hop bitterness, and the malt profile is also less aggressive in comparison to the Kalamazoo. Still, this is an enjoyable stout and easy to drink.

This was like boozy chocolate milk! Nice taste throughout. Very sweet and creamy! I could drink this forever

Pours deep brown with minimal off-white head. Nose is sweet, slight roast, but mostly shades of chocolate. Palate is medium, sticky and tantalizing. Flavor is creamy sweet that becomes bitter chocolate and lasts in this direction. Definitely not a single note sweet stout. This is enjoyable in its depth, but also relatively simple and session-worthy.

Bottle. Pours black with mocha head. Aroma is malts, roasted coffee, chocolate, nuts, and slight cream. Taste is dry char roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and some nuts. Medium bodied beer with mild carbonation and a smooth balanced finish. Good beer

Opaque ebony body with a medium brown foamy head. Aroma of chocolate and sweet roasted mocha. Creamy and medium-bodied. When I bought this, I thought that it would be too malty, as they use ten different kinds of malt, but itís actually very well balanced. Not as good as the Java Stout, but definitely delicious nonetheless.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Black beer with brown head. Aroma of creamy fudge. Light carbonation, medium to full bodied, and a slick texture. Sweet chocolatey flavor with some roasted coffee bean that was not as apparent in the aroma. A nice after-dinner brew.
