4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Roasted flavors dominate the aroma and the taste, complemented by chocolate. It is medium to full bodied. The carbonation is excellent - the bubbles are just right on the tongue. Slight bitterness, very smooth. A great stout.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma boozy coffee roasty. Lactose makes it sweet for sure, little sour bitter finish. Great smooth full body mouthfeel. Good middle and excellent finish the aroma and inital taste through it from above 4 for me. Would be a regular drinker for me if I could get it.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This might be the best beer I have ever had. Pours dark brown with a nice brown head. The aroma might be the only area the beer is lacking in with hints of coffee and cocoa. The flavor is a nice combination of everything delicious including coffee and chocolate all melded together by a nice smokiness. Phenomenal beer. Nice because Bell’s lists this beer’s availability as Nov. 1st through March but I got it mid-October at La Cave du Vin which offers it to go at state minimum prices which is an awesome discovery.

3.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was second of three Bell’s stouts I’ve just tried. This has a very powerfull aroma of dark roasted malts with notes of coffee. I couldn’t help but taste a bit of overly burnt bitterness that wasn’t only from the hops. This stout is average in my opinion.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2008 has all the same qualities of the left hand milk stout, smooth, very dark beer with a slight cream taste to it while giving you that stout feel to the beer. Very good and about the same as left hands, only difference for me is this is a little smoother

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From bottle. Poured dark brown, but not completely opaque. Chocolate, malt aroma. Medium sweetness. Finish was somewhat creamy / somewhat sticky. It was OK, but I’d choose a lot more stouts over this one.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours black with thin chocolate brown head from a bottle. Roasty, malty aroma lead to a similar creamy flavor profile. Not as thick as expected, and the high carbonation was a little unpleasant to the palate.
