Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Bottle. Aroma of coffee, sour milk and dirt is not too appetizing. Pours black with tan head, small and with a little lacing. Cream is right! Mouthfeel is almost like milk. Still a little sour tasting, but a good effort. THis is 4 of 4 of my Bell’s stout-fest. I’d rank them 1) Expedition 2) Java 3) Double Cream 4) Cherry

Bottled: Red/brown coloured. Off white medium sized dense head. Roast, berries, coffee and hops in the aroma. Flavour is roasted and sweet. Loads of coffee and chocolate notes. Ends with a balanced bitterness on the palate. Good one. Thanks Santa BBB63.

Bottle sample at a tasting at avrashi’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark to black, not opaque, with a small tan head. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, a bit of coffee and a smoky note. Sweetish and slightly bitterish flavor, roasty, with dark chocolate, a bit of cocoa, some coffee and a finish with some bitterness and a smoky note. Medium-bodied. Very good.

Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. This is an excellent Stout, which I understand is par for the course with Bell’s. I can’t wait to try the entire line! Pours black as night with a thin bone-white head and good lacing. Great smooth creamy flavor that I could enjoy all night.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark, dark brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of caramel, roasted malts, coffee, nuts and a little earthy. Tastes of chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, and a little nutty. Some lacing left on the glass.

On Tap. This is one creamy and delicious ale. It just makes you want to suck it down. Bell’s serves it too cold though.

Sweet malt rich Coffee with lots of cream. My first and hopefully not last milk stout. Easy on carbonation a plus. Mid-sip fruitiness from yeast. Black pour
