12-oz. bottle from tjthresh, Batch 7250. Pours opaque with a tiny foamy tan head that mostly diminishes leaving enough for some fizzy lacing. Aroma is deep, rich dark chocolate and coffee malt, yeast (leather) with some faint hops. Malty, moderate acidic, dark sour chocolate, coffee, caramel sweetness, some creaminess, finish is toasty cocoa. Dark bodied, fizzy-tingly, creamy and smooth palate.

Sweetish and slightly bitterish flavor, roasty, with dark chocolate, a bit of cocoa, some coffee and a finish with some bitterness and a smoky note. Medium-bodied. Very good.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, bought @ Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam.
Pours very deep brown with slight red edges. The head is a thing of beauty. Four fingers thick, extremely creamy, wonderful beige-cappucino colour. Truly a stunning beer to behold. Sweet aroma, lots of dark chocolate, roasted malts, some milk, some coffee and Nutella. Lowish carbonation, rather elegant mouthfeel. Though it is not fat, it maintain a good degree of fill. Flaovur is very well-balanced. Lots of chocolate, cold coffee, roasted malts and a milky edge. Tastes like a good bar of dark chocolate with slight chips of coffee nibs. NICE!

3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Aroma of coffee, sour milk and dirt is not too appetizing. Pours black with tan head, small and with a little lacing. Cream is right! Mouthfeel is almost like milk. Still a little sour tasting, but a good effort. THis is 4 of 4 of my Bellís stout-fest. Iíd rank them 1) Expedition 2) Java 3) Double Cream 4) Cherry

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. This is an excellent Stout, which I understand is par for the course with Bellís. I canít wait to try the entire line! Pours black as night with a thin bone-white head and good lacing. Great smooth creamy flavor that I could enjoy all night.

On Tap. This is one creamy and delicious ale. It just makes you want to suck it down. Bellís serves it too cold though.
