Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Ok this beer is drinkable but really I have only found one beer that was not and it was in the basement of a hermit type guys house. He brewed his own beer and something tells me there was some type of small animal used to make the beer. This beer was not my favorite but its good. Its creamy and tastes like tree root beer thats not sweet. If it were triple cream stout Im sure you would have to eat it out of a butter bowl. I had a tooth removed so I had to hide the scent with a breat saver rather than my favorite Big Red. Very creamy earthy flavored beer that wont get you hammered. Would go good with Fish, steaks, ice cream, or even grits. Keep on drinking!!!!!!!

I had this next to 3 Floyd’s Molokolo Stout and Bell’s killed that one! Rich, creamy, notes of bitter chocolate and coffee, a slight bit of sweetness. Two thumbs up. Don’t buy into the 3 Floyd’s mind game!

Very dark brown with brown head. Roast coffee aroma. Ultra-creamy mouth-feel, sweet cream and dark chocolate. Finish has dark cocoa bitterness. Delicious.

On tap @ Sharkey’s Radford. Pours mahogany, good head that doesn’t hang around. Smell is dark malt and chocolate, taste is rich but with a reasonably dry finish. Very smooth, really nice.

On tap at Barcade Philly.
Appearance: Pitch black body, creamy tan head.
Aroma: Very light aroma highlighting the lactose. Reminds me a bit of chocolate milk.
Taste: Mellow flavor as well, light chocolate milk presence.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Nice to drink, doesn’t impress, but I’d order it again.

Packing plenty in for a 6% beer. Sweet chocolate cake, wood and some bitter coffee notes to finish. All in good balance and indeed elegance.
