UPDATED: JUN 20, 2011 Pours an imperial stout black. Taste is very light roasted campfire wood and slight acid coffee, with a nice body to it. Good stuff. Like a better Guinness.

Pours black with tan head. Flavor is sweet, but less so than other sweet stouts, and balanced with a graininess. Smells of chocolate and slight soy sauce, but soy is absent in the flavor.

A-deep black color with a thick two fingers of coffee colored head that lingers for some time and leaves a nice lacing on the glass S-light nose that consists of roasted malt, hint of chocolate cake batter, and some light citrus sweetness T-a roasted malt hits first followed by some bitter sweet chocolate, cake batter, touches of coffee, dark fruits, some raisin and prune that gives it a sweetness at the finish M-very smooth and creamy as the name would indicate, medium body with a fair bit of carbonation. D-this is a solid tasting beer with a great mouthfeel and robust creamy flavors. I could drink this beer quite frequently

12oz bottle. Light-brown one-finger head, nearly pitch-black color. Was putting this one off for far too long because I feared it would be too rich and thick for the summer, but it turns out that this is perfectly drinkable. Doesn’t taste too full, very smooth going down. Wonderfully gradual deep-malt aroma. Roasty, with a sweet aftertaste. Special, indeed.

12oz bottle. Dark brown with a mocha creamy head. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate but mild. Nice and creamy, medium bodied, nice carbonation, slightly bitter at the beginning with a hint of sweet which disappears as you swallow, becomes more bitter, malty and some hops. A good beer although not as sweet as I would have expected (not a bad thing though).

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours opaque coal black with very small dark brown highlight and one and a half inch light brown head. Some lacing, thick cream body, and well carbonated. Taste is burnt malt, coffee, some chocolate, a hint of vanilla, and light bitter chocolate finish. Pretty good and very creamy.
