Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Pours black with little tan head. The smell is tremendous. Scents of mocha, roastedness, and slight yeast. The flavor is in line with the nose with a sweet roasted and chocolate taste along with just the right amount of coffee flavor. Alcohol is hardly noticeable at 7.5% This is a good one.

Dark opaque brown with a really nice tall tan head. Sweet chocolate and coffee aromas gently waft up from the glass. There is almost a melted ice cream feel to this in the aroma and also the taste. Itís very creamy (though not as creamy as the name would lead you to beleive). There is virtually no bitterness or hops to this beer. I m almost at a loss to describe this further. Itís full and tasty, but at the same time nearly devoid of anything signifigant or overpowering. As acertain said, itís well balanced - neither sweet nor bitter. Donít get me wrong, itís very good and seems fitting for itís name.

Bellís Special Double Cream Stout 12 oz bottle Packaged 10/06, milked 12/06 Moderate pour in an English pint Poured black with mahogany highlights with a light brown frothy mostly lasting head with good lacing. Smelt of burnt grain, sour milk, dark coffee, and dark chocolate, light fruity dark plums or blackberries,. Taste was upfront strong bitter burnt taste and moderate sweet coffee and cream followed by a strong bittersweet dark chocolate, toffee , soy, and anise. Palate was full bodied, softly carbonated, creamy, coating and silky smooth, with moderate astringency and light alcoholic feel. Overall, this is a great balance of sweet and bitter in a stout. The flavors are exploding all over my tastebuds like a fireworks display. Itís the softest beer on the palate Iíve yet to have, like licking a Playmateís buttocks. Creaminess is kinda odd though and reminds me of sour milk. It all works wonderfully though.

Pours black with a mocha head. Smells of chocolate and coffee. It has a nice roasted coffee flavor that goes down smooth and rolls around like velvet in your mouth.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2007 Best cream stout Iíve found. One of best stouts Iíve tried. Well balanced and amazingly smooth. No funkyness to the lactic aspect. Great moutfeel and finish/aftertaste.

Aroma is creamy and almost sweat with hints of molasses and coffee as well as a sour note. Appearance is very thick reddish black with zero transparency. Flavor is full and rich with strong coffee. All of it is evened out by a very smooth creamy flavor (and texture). Finish is slightly sweat and coffee with no bitterness. Overall I would buy this beer again and again. It seems to have become one of my favorite stouts (though I have only had it twice).

Dark brown, thick, sweet malty goodness from the great Bells brewery in Michigan. Nice typical hints of roasted malt and chocolate, coffee undertones. A dessert beer, super tasty but remenber DENSE. A great stout!

Jet black, admits no light. medium tan head, disappears quickly, leaves nice lacing. Aroma of cafe au lait with burnt edges. Taste begins with chocolate, then progresses to roasted coffee beans, then finally to burnt espresso. Very nice indeed. Laid down 6 bottles tonight, hopefully I can wait a year.

One of the best Cream Stout I have ever had. Very complex malt characteristics, mouthfeel was rich, and strong nose make it all around a winner!
