jvmiller (273), Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, USA Nov 26, 2007 I hadn’t had this in a while, and I was surprised at how roasty and deep the flavor was. Lots of coffee with a bit of chocolate. Body was smooth and creamy. Not too thin and watery. Quite solid. Full of rich flavor. Delicious.
AndrewKScott (319), Lemont, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours black with a tan head. Nose was roasted malt, coco powder, some coffee. Taste has a lot of complexity with the malts. The flavor is excellent, though, with some coffee and milk flavors, and a light sweetness. Cream and chocolate in the finish. Mouthfeel is very thick and nice. Bells is so awesome. rkuhnel (1064), Eureka, California, USA Aug 16, 2008 I had a glass of this in the Three Floyds Brewpub in Munster, Indiana (it was a guest draft beer). This is the only Double Creme Stout I could find here, so this must be it, Very dark with a small light brown head. Nose of chocolate and coffee. Very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is of roasted malts and chocolate. Amazingly easy to drink. Simply incredible stuff chandler0201 (102), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 14, 2008 Nice aroma of coffee and cocoa. Somewhat bitter of an aftertaste with hint of cream. Snojerk321 (943), San Diego, California, USA Aug 13, 2008 12oz bottle via trade with mmm///beer. Pours the darkest possible brown without being black. Nose was medium in potency with fresh coffee, cocoa dust, and toasted malt. Finish was very, very creamy.....a great one from Bells. 1_2many (194), Ohio, USA Aug 11, 2008 Bottle. Black with small tan head, not much lacing and appears to be a little thin. Smells like a strong cappucino, roasted coffee, chocolate, and creamer. Soft sweetness throughout. Very easy to drink just somewhat of a thin watery texture though. Otherwise good.
