Smooooth. I can see the lineage up to the Expedition. At heart, it has that same marshmallow creaminess that I love in it’s big brother, but sweeter and more prominent in this because of the lower alcohol and less intense flavors. Deep dark pour, with a nice rising head. Sweet coffee, milk chocolate, and malt on the nose. Same on the palate, with creaminess really becoming prominent. Only critique is that it feels a little thin. Great overall, though. Seems like the very definition of a cream stout.

Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours thick brown with tan head. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, creamy and thick. Finishes malty. Very hearty beer for winter drinking.

Oct 1, 2008 Bottled. Super, easy drinking stout. Pour a slick, dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee that has cream and sugar added. Smooth flavour of milk chocolate, french coffee and vanilla. Just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Maybe a little thin on the body and mouthfeel but still a great stout.

Sep 25, 2008 On tap at Jerry’s. Black with big, creamy cappuccino head / Tobacco nose / Medium to full body, acidic, maybe a tad watery / Remarkable flavor profile of tobacco, smoke, bittersweet chocolate, and vanilla / Superb flavor offsets a weak body.

Pours deep chocolate brown with substantial brown head.
Aromas of chocolate and coffee.
Very smooth from beginning to end. Nice effort.
