4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Absolutely opaque black in color. A simple dark tan head holds for several minutes and then drops to a thin surface covering and very nice collar. The aroma reveals licorice, sweet milk chocolate, creamy coffee, mild buttery biscuit, and a touch of raisin. Roasty. An interesting fruity tasty up front becoming quickly mildly sweet and creamy like a rich sour cream. The bitterness deepens as the beer warms and breathes on the palate. There is a touch of alcohol but it burns off quickly leaving a dry finish thatís loaded with lingering bitterness, dry coffee-like roastiness, and a light touch of mildy tart dark fruitiness. The body is medium. The texture is softly fluffy as the beer seems to expand on the palate. Oily on the finish. Drinkability is high, because this beer invites you back with the promise of another intriguing sip. One of the best Iíve had. A very nice stout.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 mL bottle. The right colour, but not much head. Unsweetened cocoa powder and espresso in the nose. Not quite what I expected, but Iím not complaining. The flavour is more what I expected, with the srtong notes from the nose dialed back, but still present. There is some sweetness, but certainly not a lot. Creamy body. Thin at the end.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark in the glass, intense espresso in the nose. The beer starts dry, espresso-like, dark roasted. Intensive and still easy to drink. The mainpart is coffee, slightly sour, refreshing. In the aftertaste smoother, roasted-dry, slightly bitter.
Very nice stout. --> 12/12/12/12

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A brown body with a brown head, nice retention and lace. It seemed to have a slight elevation of carbonation. Aroma had a strong roasted malt presence upfront, mild hints of cocoa balanced it out. Flavor was an excellent blend of sweet and roasted malts. Although at times the flavor seemed two-dimensional the beer was altogether good. A nice smooth finish. Easy to drink, but it did have some body to it. Carbonation seemed high but was not a negative factor.

On tap, in a pint glass. Very smooth indeed. Slight chocolate taste, not overly aromatic. This is a really nice sweet / milk stout.

Not a huge aroma here. Thick dark beige head. Good sweet chocolate with roasted flavor. Slightly bitter. Lots of malts detected here. Soft body, not too thick.

From tap. Dark pour, thick beige head that turns into heavy lacing. Creamy... obviously. Great roasted malts with rich chocolate bite on the end.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fresh bottle. Pours solid black with tan head. Big aroma here if vanilla, some allspice, cocoa, coffee. Taste is coffee bitterness, nice vanilla and toasty notes, well roasted barley. Lots of bubbles..lingers on the palate. Smooth but not as creamy as I would expect. Still delicious.
