3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap: The aroma consists of heavy nutmeg, ginger, and clove with just a touch of chocolate. It pours a a dark brown with some faint orange highlights around the edges of the glass. It has a one finger beige head that quickly fades to a thin film. The flavor starts with a quick dose of chocolate and cinnamon. The finish has moderate-heavy nutmeg, ginger, clove, a hint of anise, and roast. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s a little too heavy on the spice for my liking.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to pils glass at Bell’s. Looks good; black with sticky beige head that dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes roasty, malty, and spicy with a sweet finish. Average on the palate. Solid.
