4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 gabbama (201) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Pours light brown with a thick off-white head. Rich, sweet floral, resin, and citrus aroma. Huge resinous flavor of grapefruit rind. The huge bitterness is balanced somewhat by a caramel sweetness that comes through late. Very full body, slightly syrupy and soft carbonation. The late sweetness gives way to a long, bitter finish. Wow. Need to find this again.

pours amber with a quarter inch white head.leaves nice lacing.aroma of grapefruit, musky melon and caramel.aroma is kinda mild and not overly hoppy.flavor of grapefruit, pineapple, melon and caramel.the hops are more pronounced in the flavor than in the aroma.full bodied with medium carbonation and a dry citrus finish.this beer is nice.i could rate this higher if the aroma was more evident.my bottle is six months old and that may have caused a dimishing in the aroma.flavor was still fantastic though.very good dipa
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 knickskicks (493) - - JAN 11, 2013
Clear copper/red, thin off white head, good lacing. Nose is grapefruit, sweet bready malts. Taste is citrus fruits, pulpy grapefruit, watery melon, dry bitter finish.
Disclaimer: This was a few months old, still excellent though so it warranted a review.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 S_Side_Smitty (207) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Pours cloudy amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is a nice blend of caramel and hops. Taste is sweet & syrupy up front, quickly transforming into black pepper and a strong biting earthy bitterness that lingers through the finish. At first the alcohol is not noticeable until you think about it. The bitterness is almost a wine-like bitterness (maybe cabernet or a country style rustic zinfandel). Never been a big fan of bitter wines, but those of you who are may like this.
2.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 salvaticas (119) - - DEC 22, 2012
Minimal aroma, strangely, and looks lager-like. But pretty good taste. Not super impressed but would try again

On tap at New Bohemia tap takeover. This was not my favorite DIPA ever but it was a solid undertaking and I really enjoyed it. Lots of hops in this.
