3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark copper from a bottle or tap. Big smell of wants about to come in the taste. This beer is very bitter but not in an earthy manner. I think it would be crisper as you do get the usual grapefruit and pine taste but I think a strong off alcohol flavor mutes everything. The body is medium but very stick to your mouth. My favorite brewer and a great style but this one is just fair.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy yellow amber color with little head. High viscosity. Medium hop bitterness that balances well against the malt. Nice bitter finish that lingers.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer has a traditional style hop profile. The aroma is somewhat cognac, I guess getting a whiff of the alcohol, then pine toasty tangerine. Flavor follows aroma sans cognac. Alcohol isn’t exactly hidden but not burning or overwhrmlming. I was hesitant to try this because while mars was good there was an unbalanced bitterness. This beer is balanced yet screaming in both hoppiness and malt, however not too much in either direction. An excellent choice in double ipas when there are many to choose from.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from unknown via Justin D. Pours a deep, somewhat hazy orange-amber, ominous-looking, with just a hint of white head. Aroma tangerine, some resinous, earthy character as well. Body medium-dull, with a heacy, almost sticky sweetness, rolling into a brash, resinous bitter finish that is long lasting. More bitter than I generally prefer, but the level of complexity to this is pleasing. Bell’s usually know what’s going on, and this is no exception.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
BOD 8/8/14. Pours a clear light amber with a touch of dark ruby making it a bit darker than golden. Very nice head with exceptional lacing and retention. Very nice nose of pine, grapefruit, tropical and a somewhat dank hop note over a caramel sweetness that also has a hint of spice. Medium body with a rich oily slick texture. Above average carbonation with a nice effervescent finish. The flavor profile is complex and fairly well balanced given the 10% alcohol content. It begins as a blend of hop flavors, mostly dank with grapefruit and pine notes, that slowly yield to the tropicals as a blended biscuit/caramel sweetness sneaks in. The sweetness fades into a mild bitterness which has a dank and slightly spicy note. As the bitterness fades, alcohol is noted, but not excessively so. The finish is slightly sweet with a nice alcohol burn on the back of the throat. Better than the Mars offering which lacks balance and fails to cover the alcohol well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle pours light orange with thick yellow head. Aroma citrus, resin, earthy hops. Initial taste of huge hops. After a bit your palate gets saturated and you notice the sweet malts and citrus. Finish bitter hops. Palate thick bordering on syrupy. This does smooth out as you drink the glass but this is no question a hop bomb.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Excellent DIPA! Hoppy, bitter, balanced, and semi-dry. Pours a murky golden orange color. The thin white head sticks to the glass and runs down it. Aromas of stone fruit, citrus, and flowers. Flavors follow a similar line up. Get your hands on this one.
