Our take on the West Coast-style Double India Pale Ale, The Oracle places hop intensity first & foremost, making only the slightest concession to malt & balance. The fireworks start with the floral aromatic punch of two separate dry-hop sessions with Amarillo and NZ Pacific Jade. Resinous, citrusy hop flavors mixed with aggressive bitterness from a massive kettle addition deliver on that aromatic promise.

unfiltered orange body with a nice long lasting thin white head that laces up a little bit, aroma is hops but some caramel malt fits through ad well, flavor is cascade hops that is balanced very well with a strong malt backbone, after reading a few other reviews I think my bottle might be a little old as itís really lacking the bright hop flavor that we get from say Pliney and Hop Stoopid, I can tell it must have been amazing fresh out of the fermentor, but it remains a well balanced treat even after the flavor/aroma hop additions start to fade... still this really canít even compare to many west coast DIPAs that are rated waaaay below this

Tasted from bottle. Pours a clear amber gold with thick white head. Great lacing. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma with some floral notes. Taste is moderate to heavily bitter with nice malt backbone. Clean constant bitter taste. Flavors of pine, floral, caramel, toffee, spices, and a hint of citrus fruits. Excellent IPA but not best of the best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of floral/pine hops, tropical fruit, & citrus; Flavor of sweet malt, caramel, pine hops, some fruit, and nice citrus; Warm finish and fairly bitter; Not a light weight - pretty intense.

Resinous hops really make this one. Wow at the bite of the dry hop brew. Looks great. Taste is almost a bit too much even for a hop drinker.

The aroma is malt-bread, hops-floral/citrus. Pours a slightly cloudy copper/orange with a medium white head and excellent lacing. The taste is very bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish a long bitter. Very good.

Bottle shared much thanks to Dan. Pours out a decent amber color with a small white head. Aroma is of grapefruit meat, citrus and some light pine notes. Taste is a nice punch of fruity citrus and pine hops with some light balance in there of some taosty malts, and then more hops with a slightly drying alcohol note on the finish. Tasty

This is a a double India pale ale ale according to the bottle. Being a fans of pale ale ale and esp. India pale ale ale, I can only imagine that a double version would be almost as good but slightly too sweet and no more hoppy. Hey! Well here we are. This is a cloudy orange amber w/ a thin head of fine white bubbles. Itís got a nice hoppy nose. I get floral notes up front in the nose, maybe a touch of citrus well. This is a bit on the sweet side--which is a trait it has in common w/ Two Hearted--and this is exacerbated at itís ten-plus-percent alcohol strength. It is really hard to make a hoppy beer of this gravity and pretty much displays the problems w/ the style to a T. Since Bellís has a beer of this style done well--ever heard of Hopslam?--I just canít see any reason for this to exist.

Light body, heavy hop profile, more bitter than aromatic. A solid beer but could be way better for the price.

Rating #800. On draft at Smokin Joes. Poured clear orange with ring of head. Sweet, floral nose. Orange, peach, grapefruit. Big and malty with big time hop bite to back it up. Tongue stripping bitterness. Great stuff, a sipper.
