4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: tart cherries, oak, vanilla, some dark malts, Bretty funk and some leaves.
Appearance: brown, rather hazy, thin off-white head with average retention.
Taste: pronounced acidity, lemon, vanilla and oak, cherries, musty and funky Brett character, a hint of acetic acid in the background, some dry cocoa and dark malts. Nice complexity and good balance, mostly dry but just a touch of sweetness in the finish.
Palate: light-medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall: interesting and complex brew, very nice.

On tap at Bells Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo. Pours a copper brown with a beige head and sour aroma of cloves and oak. Taste is sour, of bananna, cloves, oak and cherries with a tart finish. Nice, enjoyable sour ale

On tap at Bells Brewery, Kalamazoo , Michigan, pours a cooper amber color. Nose is tart and pungent with some cloves and bannsna. Taste is sour and fruity with a predominance of cloves and banana, like the nose. Finish is sour and lingers. Great sour. Quaff score 8 / 10

Very tart with a nice malt presence to provide a backbone. High in acidity and has a strong Brett flavor.

On tap at Bells. Definitely not my favorite style. Very tart with dry finish. Pretty good for the style.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
At the Eccentric Cafe. Pours a deep amber with a barely there khaki head. Complex crazy nose of cherry, vinegar, hay, funkiness, malt, and maybe a little ketchup. Lightly sweet, hugely tart. Medium bodied, softer, with toasty puckering acidic tart finish. Possibly the most tart beer I can remember having. Nicely done, but almost too much for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Eccentric Cafe. Reddish brown pour with a bit of beige head. Intense sour fermented berry fruit scent that’s delicious. Lots of brett-yness with a delicious, wine-y fermented fruit flavor. One of my favorite wild ales thus far. Sour kind of dry finish. Tart, Dry, champagney mouthfeel. I do prefer this mixed 50/50 with bell’s mead however.
