Bottle, shared at RBAG 2015 by Kevin, bottle 714 of 826. Burnt orange colour, sour cherries and funk, with a bit of metal on the nose that doesn’t translate to the palate thankfully. Sour fruits, light toffee malts, yoghurty sourness. Closest in style to a Flemish sour brown.

Distinct sourness on the nose. Woodiness. Some astringency in the finish. Not really as sour in the taste as the aroma would suggest.

Mep3222 (1229) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - JUN 12, 2015
Very nice lactic sour, dark fruit woody aroma. Taste is lactic sour but muted, maybe 3 of 10. Has some woody and dark fruit flavors but also an oddly Brett like barnyard funk. Seems a bit unbalanced and out of place (the Brett in this beer). Dark woodyness makes it seem like it will be much fuller in flavor, but it isn't. This is a moderate sour. Has qualities of greatness but just misses of a few fronts, mainly the weak palate for the flavors/aroma and the odd out of place finish. Also could be significantly more sour. But still very drinkable and a descent sour for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
