4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/13/2012. Pours hazy reddish orange color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, caramel, orange, pine, pineapple, citrus rind, herbal, floral, grass, toast, bread, and earthy spiciness. Excellent aromas with nice balance and complexity. Taste of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, caramel, toast, bread, herbal, floral, pine resin, citrus rind, and piney spiciness. Good amount of piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, caramel, toast, bread, pine, citrus rind, floral, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor balance and complexity; good malt/bitterness balance; zero cloying flavors on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy, slick, and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent imperial red ale. Great hop flavor profile with nice malt balance; very smooth to sip on for an 11% beer. Really enjoyed this one, glad I have a few more.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a bright amber color. The aroma is mostly hops. The taste is rather mild compared to the aroma. A nice subtle hoppiness that finishes clean. Donít get much of the base red ale that is suppose to be there which is fine with me. This one is better than I was expecting for sure.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks for sharing, bro! Pours a dirty red color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is medicinal, caramel malts, resinous hops. Taste is like a barley wine.....medicinal, chewy caramel and toffee malts.

Bottle... Poured dark amber with a thick forming head. Nice bitterness and resinous spiced hop flavors. Strong hops tones and a bitterness to back it up. Bitter rind and citrus skins added a nice dimension.

Bottle. Pours copper with a thin white head. Big pine/citrus hop aroma with a touch of caramel sweetness. Moderately sweet malt flavor up front followed by a great pine and citrus hop profile. Nice bitter hop finish with a touch of alcohol. Very drinkable, the alcohol is well hidden.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The beer is a pretty amber hue, appearing transparent. The head is about an inch thick and leaves a thick ringlet of lace around the pint glass. The aroma offers a large malt bill, followed by pine, resin, hops, alcohol. Slightly fruity in the one as well. The taste, unfortunately, is dominated by alcohol. Hop, malt, and fruity malt flavors are steamrolled by a tidal wave of booze. Medium to full bodied with resinous hops sticking to the palate. Lingering alcoholic heat. Not a repeat for me.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Shared from a 12oz brown bottle into a mini schooner glass. It poured a deep amber color with weak off-white foam. Profoundly hoppy aromas: grapefruit, pine resin, very little else. Flavor balance was very hops-forward as well, I couldnít detect any of the grain complexity Iíd hoped for from the Imperial Red Ale claim. I can tell itís well-made, just too bitter for me. It looked a few notches darker than their Hopslam, but I couldnít honestly tell much difference in taste (but itís been awhile since I had Hopslam, so Iím going from memory.)

Absolutely incredible. Best beer as of yet. Perfect color of light ruby red and about 1 finger of head from the tap. Aroma was the perfect DIPA of pineapple and grapefruit with just a hint of caramel malt. Taste was everything blended perfectly from the aroma. Hop presance was perfect. Very smooth and not one hint of the 11% was detected. Let it warm up a little and it will be even better!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear darkish orange color with a nice amount of creamy head that lingers a long time. Nice complex aroma. Getting tropical fruit, cherries, pine, caramel malt, toasted malt, and grapefruit. Taste is pretty intense up front. Huge hop taste, mostly tropical and citrus. Moderate bitterness comes through in the middle along with a big caramel malt flavor. Finish is smooth and a bit creamy, big alcohol warming from the 11% abv but itís not too harsh. Pretty thick mouthfeel and a bit oily too. Very interesting Imperial Red. I really liked this.
