Per bellsbeer.com/blog , "This One Goes to 11 Ale opens with bright, juicy aromas such as tropical fruits & ripe cherries, largely derived from massive kettle & dry-hop additions of Southern Hemisphere hop varieties such as Galaxy, Motueka, and Summer. The citrus & resinous pine notes of the Pacific Northwest hop family are also well represented, making their presence known through Simcoe, Citra, and the newly released Mosaic varietal, just to name a few. A wide range of specialty malts anchor the hops to this IMPERIAL RED ALE, contrasting the assertive bitterness & juicy aromatics with a robust, toasty depth of flavor. Fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, This One Goes to 11 Ale finishes with a lingering warmth."

Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20k tasting - London. Cheers, Ken! Pours clear amber with a creamy, white head. The nose holds pine, berries and orange peel. Medium sweet flavour with some earthy bitterness, orange rind, grains. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Hard piney and earthy bitterness to finish, with more old and rindy citrus fruits. Eh, just so so.

Bottle thanks to Mr 20K Kenny. It pours clear amber with an orange hue and off-white head. The nose is rich, bitter - sweet, dried fruits, fruit cake, dried apricot, stewed orange, candied peel and varnish. The taste is bitter up-front, wood, resinous, varnish, alcohol warmth, toffee, stewed fruits, earth, apricot, peach and bready malts with a warming finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A bit hot perhaps, but good fun.

Bottle at Madmitch 20k tasting. Hazy amber. Lasting white head. Hoppy aroma. Like a hoppy barley wine aroma. Rather a good sweet beer. Good hop. Good enough.

12 oz bottle shared with Jason and Brian. The pour is a brighter reddish brown with a nice collar of head and no lace. The aroma surprisingly hoppy. There is a good malt and a light sweetness that is well received. There is a decent pine and a good bitterness on the back. The flavor is good as well. There is a strong maltiness. Nice bitter hops and a lingering piney resin. The mouth feel is thicker and well carbonated with a good lingering malty finish. It's a legit brew here.
