On tap via snifter at the eccentric cafe. Black dark pour. Amazing aroma of espresso and a touch of sweet coconut. Taste is close to the standard java with a bit of coconut but more in the nose. A bit thin for a stout but probably about right for the lower abv. Pretty damn good stuff

Draft, Roll out the Barrel Party at the Eccentric Cafe. Deep opaque brown-black body, medium to thin light brown head. Big coffee and tannic vanilla nose. The body was all vanilla extract and coffee bean. Pretty good, but I prefer plain old Java Stout.

On draft at All Stouts Day. The pour is a dark brown, creeping toward black, with a decent head that fades to a light film. The lace left is pretty intense. The aroma is so full of the coconut that it almost brings the beer to smell like a weed. There are light roast and espresso notes that follow it up. The flavor is the same thing. You're blasted with so much overwhelming coconut that the flavor isn't great at first. It fades slowly and into a great coconut flavor and finishes thickly like a Java Stout should. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is super coconut, and a bit of Java. Appearance is dark black, light brown head. Taste is a ton of coconut, followed by coffee. Mouthfeel is perfect, thick with soft carbonation. Overall, pretty good and recommended for coconut lovers.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 On tap at the source... Pours a Mostly solid black with auburn edges and a thin wispy off white head... Barrel aged bourbon sour mash with hints of spicy coffee grounds ... Chocolate and subdued older coffee with coconut being a stretch to find. Way too thin for an advertised 11% brew. Medium carbonation. More roast on the backend.

Black like dark roast coffee, no head. Faint aroma of French roast. Very oily mouthfeel, low carbonation, pretty clean on finish. Tastes like reeeeeeally strong cold coffee, a bit lighter roast and acidity a bit above average, toasted coconut adds coconut flavor and bitterness, nutty. From what I remember from the base this is very simply a stronger version.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2013 Tap: very, very dark brown highlights leading to a black center. A dark beige ring caps things off, no lacing left behind. Aroma is heavy, heavy roasted coffee beans, dark and oily, super roasty. Not getting much coconut, if any. Not much else, besides coffee beans, really. Taste is tons of coffee beans again, lots of roast but a little sweeter than the aroma would suggest. Again, very little coconut in the flavor. A polished finish with mostly roasted coffee beans. Not bad, just a "more roasty" version of the regular Java Stout.

On tap: The aroma consists of huge coffee/espresso, chocolate, roasted nuts, and a touch of vanilla. Itís a dark brown with some faint orange highlights with a small beige head that fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy coffee. The finish has light dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a touch of vanilla. Iím not getting any coconut in the aroma or flavor. Itís medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall, this really seems like a nuttier Java Stout.
