4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
I purchased one of these at the local grocer a half of a block from my house. I immediately went back and bought them out of stock (the other 3). What a wonderful beer. Low carbonation like most of Bells Beer. Beautiful color, a hazy/frosted golden orange color that resonates a glow when in the sunlight. Mouth feel is slightly watery which makes it smooth going down and a wonderful drinkability for something very close to an IPA. Taste of toffee and runs the citrus gamete but gravitates toward pineapple. Quite sweet, and a good punch of hops. Nothing ground breaking here just an excellently crafted brew.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazed amber- slight woody look to it, with a thinning head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, toast, light burnt toffee, with straight-forward citrus and light pine hops. Flavor is more caramelized malts, toffee, cracker, toast, grass, green pine needles, and citrusy hops. Full body and good moderate bitterness- pretty decent straight-forward double-red /ASA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Translucent, slightly hazy, fiery orange-red body, medium off-white head. Delicious chewy, sugared grapefruit rind nose with sweet papaya and hints of caramel. Oddly thin, bitter body, first hitting the palate with unbalanced rindy hops bitterness, the malts slowly adding elements of caramel, toffee, and bubblegum. Hints of papaya. Definite alcohol heat. The aroma was the best part of this beer, which faltered in its thin, unbalanced body. This reminded me of a much slimmed down Batch 6000.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours an orange-amber color with a cream-colored head. The aroma is fairly faint, but I do get a little bit of alcohol, dark fruit, citrus and honey. The flavor is more pronounced. I get some caramel malt, candi-sugar, sweet fruit, citrus and some alcohol. There is a light amount of hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep and translucent golden ruby with fizzy tan head. Aroma is full of luscious sweet hops. Slightly bitter taste with a hint of syrupy sweetness. Nice and thick with a lingering bitterness. Not a bad strong ale though I donít think Iíd go so far as to call it great.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Batch 9871. Pours a deep orange amber color with a tan offwhite 1 finger head. The aroma is really fruity which was a nice pleasant surprise because I didnít know what to expect. Lots of pineapple. The taste is rather nice with a malty, sweet fruit taste that transitions to a slight hoppy bite. Almost get a slight coconut flavor as well. Nice lace left on the glass. Ends pretty crisply. No real flavor of alcohol present. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, a pretty easy drinking straight forward beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle shared by Dickinsonbeer. Pours a hazy golden amber with a thin-moderate linen white head. Pleasant aroma of malt, caramel and citrus. The flavor is basically the same as the aroma with malt, caramel and citrus. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. No problems.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear copper with a 2 finger, sticky, off white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus, floral honey, sweet grass, candied fruits, lots of cooked pineapple, sweet caramel and a bit of earth. Flavor is citrus, sweet malt, syrupy caramel, grass, orange blossom, cookie dough, earth, gin-like spicy spruce and woody hops. Palate is medium bodied, slightly syrupy on entry, dry finish and has a medium, kinda sharp carbonation that really works pretty well for this brew. Good, but quite a bit too sweet without quite enough depth to the malt background, the hops are quite nice though. Overall this reminds me of something of a mix between Sierra Nevada Bigfoot and any of the million or so identical ASAís made by Lagunitas.
