COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

bottle. Huge rocky off white head. Cloudy light orange color. Aroma lightly sweet, citrus, peach, and grapefruit. Light body. Light malt sweetness backed by big hop flavor of citrus/grapefruit. Long pleasant bitterness, good balance.

Looks a little weak after the pour, but when you take a taste all is forgiven. This is a great ale! Nice citrusy notes. Wonderful hoppiness. Decent malting in the background. This puppy packs a slight punch despite its initial look. Buy this beer.

Poured a little lighter than expected golden color, white head. Big floral aroma, lightly sweet, quite hoppy. Flavor was piney and lemony, hops were definitely kicking, yet not overpowering. Medium boded, finishes bitter, very drinkable. Very good, thanks NorthYorkSammy.

Pours a hazy pale gold color with small head. Pine dominates the aroma. Nice pine hop aroma to start, some sweetness in there too. Leads to a dry finish with a decent bitterness. Very pleasing to me.

Piney hop aroma with hints of sour apple. Pours a moderately hazy pallor yellow color with a small white head. Start seems to be missing something. Very Very dry and tangy at the finish. A good IPA, but I think Iím missing something here that everyone else tastes.

This is an incredible beer. Great bitterness and smooth like nothing i can write on this page. Fruity and malty combined with hundreds of other flavor impressions. Great.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2006 Feb 2006 Bottle. Hazy golden orange body, with a small creamy white head. Fairly hoppy aroma with a touch of resiny citrus. Flavour is quite bitter, but is lacking in hops flavour and character, but some pleasant grapefruit. Medium palate. I would love to try this on tap to see what it is like very fresh. 7/3+/7-8/3+/16<P> June 2004 Bottle. Hazy golden amber with a very nice fluffy white head. Citrusy hops in the aroma. Bitterness in the flavour is a bit stronger than indicated in the aroma. Lots of resiny humulin lingering in the aftertaste. Very nice but a bit unbalanced with the hops dominating over the malt which is not an altogether bad thing depending what you are in the mood for. Thanks very much for the bottle NorthYorkSammy. 7/4/8/3/17 3.9

crisp and lemony citrus. Grapefruit Bitter sipping with fruity salt, and bitter aftertaste with high but effective complementary hops. Lots of initial and remaining foam. Light texture. Floral aroma. Alcohol punch

Very cloudy golden color with a tall foamy heady that would do a Duvel proud. The underlying natural carbonation is steady and delicate. The aroma is fresh hops with pine resin and hay. The taste is that of pine resin and pepper like hop heat tempered with the flavors of mandarin orange, caramel malt, and the gritty, earthy yeast. The beer is creamy smooth like a stick of butter melting on your tongue. This is a very good and well balanced IPA that lacks a lot of complexity, but turns that into a strength rather than a weakness.
