India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Simply put I would not go out and buy a bunch of this because it is just a little too bitter for me and it needs more of the fruity qualities I taste. That may make it more palletable for me. Not exactly up to my tastes.

This is my favorite beer, conveniently available in Evansville or Louisville. Hazy apricot body is topped by a healthy head that is just offwhite. Humidly aromatic to the nose, with notes of kiwi, pink grapefruit, and orange blossoms. Perfumey, almost. Medium body supports waves of bitersweet fruity hop essence. Exceptionally well balanced. The ideal American IPA. Love this stuff!

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2008 This is my favorite session beer (at 6%, is that still ok?) Deep golden / orange, beatiful piney bouquet. Nice big pine and grapefruit hop flavor, slightly sweet, kind of oily. Tastes bright and fresh; Iíve bought cases of this and never had a bad bottle. Love it!

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2007 12oz bottle, thanks to holdenn for boot legging this into chicago. pours dense orange with a nice glow and solid white head. nose is soft with citrusy hops, not a big hop aroma. taste is nicely balanced hops but nothing over the top and seems to not go for a the west coast PNW hop bomb. perhaps a hoppier english style IPA. this beer is very drinkable and no real flaws come to mind.3.9.

batch 8220. Iím really digging this, seems very fresh yet smooth and in amazing balance. very orangey, berry, citrusy. I could go for a fresh bottle of this anytime.

(Bottle) Pours a frothy white large head with a cloudy, lightly carbonated, minute sediment filled amber body. Nose of ahappy fulfilling citrus hops and rose water. Very sweet and piney mixed with Seville oranges. Nice sweet bitterness. Very good.

Pours a mildy hazy, yellow-gold. small to medium head. Aroma of grapefruit, a general citrus, and some floral notes. Taste was of grapefruit, with a really good floral component. Only small trace of malt. Smooth, great mouthfeel. Very refreshing.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2008 12 oz bottle...Wonderful grapefruit aroma and flavor to this. Pleasant hop flavor and bitterness, while maintaining good balance. Perfect carbonation, fairly light mouthfeel. One of the more enjoyable and sessionable IPAs Iíve had.

Served from a 12 oz. bottle at the Wicked Hop in Milwaukee. Strong hop aroma and flavor, nicely rounded without going over the top. Medium bodied. Long lasting bitter finish without harshness. Very pleasant IPA. Iíd do a better rating by my wife chews my butt when I take notes while we are out.

Strong and pleasant aromas of grapefruit, lemon, perfume and flowers. Heady beer with an opaque orange sunset in the glass. Tons of lacing. Gently bitter hops up front. Harsher, more bitter hops in the middle f the palate, and a hoppy finish that contains juicy grapefruit, orange and lemon. Smooth and rich throughout. Nearly-silent caramel malts in the deep background of this profiled palate. A tremendous IPA, bold and American.
