India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2007 On draft at Issac Newton’s. Pours hazy golden with a decent sized white head. Aroma of pine, hops, citrus, and sweet malts. Flavor is carbonated fruity, citrusy, sweet malts and a slight hoppy bitter finish. Good body, damn good brew.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with batch number 7150, packaged on 11/22/05, and a short blurb about the AIPA on the back label. Made a good appearance, poured a hazy peach hued light amber with a foamy white head that settled into a clingy, bubbly thin lacing, good carbonation. Had a big floral and citric hop nose with whiffs of fruity esters and a faint biscuity maltiness. A crisp, semi-creamy lightish medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. A crisp citric hop taste upfront, a smooth, rolling hop bitterness on the tongue, a little citric rind character in the middle, a biscuity maltiness and a dry Bell’s yeastiness showing up towards the end and a dry, bitter finish.

Draft at Jak’s Tap, Chicago. What a nice IPA. Clear, orange golden body with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit and hops. Delightful flavor highlighted by grapefruit and hops. Very crisp, clean palate. Very drinkable and flavorful, an excellent IPA.

Like I.P.A.’s? You’ll love this! This beer has such flavor and drinability its amazing. Smell that citrus bouquet? That heady aroma of Orange peel and possibly corriander? Good dose of Piney hops that any I.P.A. should have. This may be my new favorite.

Bottle shared with tupalev & jerc - courtesy of tupalev. Hazy golden colour with a moderate white head. Big, hoppy aroma - lots of orange and pine - with some honey sweetness backing it up. Flavour is hoppy as hell, and undeniably unbalanced, but still damn good. Wonderful stuff!

A very refreshing IPA. Citrussy, acidic orange nose, with a touch of rose. Flavor hits up front hoppy but settles down with nice woody and tannin notes. Girlfriend says it has a taste of rose ice cream. Good stuff.

had a bottle once and wasn’t too impressed. then had it at a bar once on draft. best draft pint i’ve had outside a brewery/brewpub. golden brown color, small but thick head. not as fruity as usual IPA’s; though hoppy, more carmel/woody flavor. will give the 6pack another try.

Pours a light hazy orange/gold. Small head diminishes to a thin ring rather quickly leaving a bit of lacing. Aroma is piney and citric and very inviting. Flavour is piney, grapefruit, some pleasant sweetness. I expected a more bitter finish I suppose. But the great aroma combines with the initial flavor and smooth, rich mouthfeel to make one want another immediately.

This beer offers an aroma of hops infused with butterscotch. It is a cloudy gold in color with a decent white head. This beer enters the mouth with force as it introduces the hops to the tongue. As the bitterness subsides it fades to a smooth butterscotch taste that lingers.
