4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 23, 2007 22 OZ bottle from shigadeyo (Thanks!). She pours a hazy orange/copper with an average size white head. Nice floral aroma with some sweet mandarin orange, caramel malts, some pine and perhaps some floral hops. Tastes just like it smells, and is pretty sweet for an IPA. The hops are there in abundance, however there is a strong malt backbone as well. It is not a hop-bomb, but it is a very tastey hopy (not bitter) beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle; pours light honey orange with a generous creamy head, good lacing all the way down. Very inviting floral aroma with hoppy citrus follow through. The hops definitely come through in the taste, but I found this to be a very mature, complete flavor, with a nice clean finish. Keeps you coming back for more with each sip; this beer delivers!

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle: Pours a big head, white, foamy, creamy, good lacing. Cloudy amber color, good bubbles, fizz. Very strong hoppy aroma, fresh smelling. Bitter taste, some sweet mid-taste, somewhat smooth/bitter aftertaste. Creamy. A good IPA, but a little strong and unbalanced. A little acidic.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2007 Bottle, thanks zeswaft. Honey colored with a fluffy white head. Tart, hoppy aroma, slightly sweet and sticky. Cirtrusy. Really smooth flavor. Hoppy and bitter with a balanced level of sweetness. Piney. Really well balanced and a great, dry finish that leaves some sweetness. This is a really nice IPA, definitely one of the best that I’ve had. Rerate... very good, but not as crazy-good as I remember. I’m bumping my rating down a bit.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ah, a classic IPA that reminds me a little of a good weiss beer in the use of hops, hazy appearance and the lemony character in the aroma. Pleasant mouthfeel that rounds out the palate and quenches your thirst. Leaves your lips smacking for more. Light caramle and toffee notes help to creat a nice balance between the hops and malt.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2008 Pours a medium amber with average sized head. Aroma is big on the floral and also a tad of citrus. Flavor is great. Hoppy citrus with some piney floral in the background. Just a little bitter finish (which isnt bad). Such a well rounded (solid) brew. Always seems to be in my fridge.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy light copper color with a nice foamy off-white head on top. Hops and grapefruit dominate the aroma of the beer. Hints of sweet malts such as caramel and toffee are in the aroma as well. Hops hit the tongue on first sip. A grapefruit/citrusy hop taste that starts with a bitterness. The middle part of the taste is caramel and toffee bringing out the malt backbone of this beer. The finish is sweet at first and ends with bitterness shortly after the beer as been swallowed fully. Another great beer out of the Midwest!
