COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Very tart. grapefruit notes in the flavor Well-carbonated; aroma of clean hops but is a bit faint. Not quite the reddish color or highlight that I associate with the style. Decent, not great.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2004 WOW! Quite possibly my favorite IPA as of yet. Pours a beautiful orange haze with a decent head of slightly off-white. Flavor is all citrus and pine hopped up to next friday. Having been said, also a very well balance beer, not too hoppy, not too malty, just right!

Thanks to CaptainCougar for this one! This was milder but very well balanced IPA. A very floral, pine, and citrus aroma. The flavor on this defines balances. A very soft mouthfeel with some oranges, lemons, and grapefruit. Bells simply kicks ass! I can’t wait to try more.

Pours a hazy orange color with an average white head. Aroma is floral with hops. Flavor is earthy hops. I was expecting this beer to knock me off my feet, but it did not. Still an above average IPA. I enjoyed it.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 Cloudy, dirty orange-colored beer with a stellar foamy head. Nice pungent earthy aroma. Bountiful floral flavors -- orange rind tartness and spice. Beautiful beer.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2010 Both floral and bitter in its hop content, this is a distinctly balanced IPA. The medium level alcohol strength is hidden enough to make this one worthy of multiple bottles in one sitting.

On tap at Handlebar in Chicago, $3 on Saturdays! Anyway, what can I say but wow! This was a nice nice nice nice beer. Smelled distinctly piney with some citrus, Very solid malt backbone to balance out the crazed hop mayhem. Actually, I jest. The hop series in this IPA is not too complex, though it does a great job of making a terrificly balanced brew. Deep gold with a rockin’ rocky head. Amen.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2014 Ah IPA another of my favorite styles. I have managed to have this beer several times in the past but for some reason I have never managed to rate it. Sampled from a typical 12 oz brown bottle this fine beer poured a rich golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. Very pretty. A strong grapefruit, pine and sweet sugary scent fairly explodes from the glass as one can smell this one before the glass is even taken in hand. The front taste is sweet and pear like with a thick mouthfeel. Then on comes full bore hops. Strong elements of grapefruit that become dominant and linger forever on the aftertaste. Really a very fine IPA.
