4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great IPA, one of the best. I had it in a bottle, but Iíve had it on draft and even on hand-pull at the wonderful Berkeley Front. I would recommend this beer in any form. Nice bitterness to it, wonderful floral smell, and very drinkable if youíve had experience with bitter beers. Not for the faint of heart, but I guess thatís why itís called two-hearted?

Amber/copper. Frothy, off white head. Huge, full spectrum hop nose- citrus, floral, pine, and resin. Perfect amount of malt to match. Same flavor. Balanced, medium body. Excellent IPA.

First, this is one of the few beers Iíve had both on tap and bottle. Tap is so so so much better. On to the beer: amber nice carbonation. Lots of grapefruit on the nose and tongue. Intense citrus bitterness is bigger than the sweet sugary sweetness, but is well balanced. Lingering bitterness is pleasant and not at all overpowering. One of my favorite IPAs.

nice orange hue to it, fine fresh hop aroma, fairly strong carbonation. Nice refreshing bitter hop flavor. A solid example of an IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2007 On draft at Issac Newtonís. Pours hazy golden with a decent sized white head. Aroma of pine, hops, citrus, and sweet malts. Flavor is carbonated fruity, citrusy, sweet malts and a slight hoppy bitter finish. Good body, damn good brew.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with batch number 7150, packaged on 11/22/05, and a short blurb about the AIPA on the back label. Made a good appearance, poured a hazy peach hued light amber with a foamy white head that settled into a clingy, bubbly thin lacing, good carbonation. Had a big floral and citric hop nose with whiffs of fruity esters and a faint biscuity maltiness. A crisp, semi-creamy lightish medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. A crisp citric hop taste upfront, a smooth, rolling hop bitterness on the tongue, a little citric rind character in the middle, a biscuity maltiness and a dry Bellís yeastiness showing up towards the end and a dry, bitter finish.

Draft at Jakís Tap, Chicago. What a nice IPA. Clear, orange golden body with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit and hops. Delightful flavor highlighted by grapefruit and hops. Very crisp, clean palate. Very drinkable and flavorful, an excellent IPA.
