India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

My first IPA (Other then Keiths....If this counts as an IPA that is....) Pours golden amber, very cloudy and fizzy with a very long-lasting head. Mouthfeel is somwhat fissy. Grapefruits, Lime and mild floral aroma. Citrus and strong malt flavours with a very strong, lingering bitter malt finish.

Thanks to jables for this beer.

Pours a clear effervescent amber with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma of piney hops. Taste is hoppy, bitter, and dry with a touch of toffee in the finish. A good IPA, but not as complex as I’d hoped.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with a good sized white head. Big time citrus/hop aroma with some sweet malt also. Flavor is definitely on the hoppy side. Grapefruit flavor is very prevalent with a slight malty backbone. Somewhat one dimensional but still quite delicious.

Tap: orange/yellow, small head...floral aroma and awesome hops scent. Very hoppy but balanced well, Mouthfeel is somewhat rough but finishes faily smooth. A decent IPA

An orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very freshly hoppy with notes of hop oils - very powerful aroma. The flavor is sweet and quite hoppy, that gives flavors of oranges, flowers as well as hints of grapefruit. Very refreshing yet with a powerful body.

03.30.05 12oz bottle thanks to wulfhere. Pretty glowing golden orange with large off-white head of fine bubbles. Sweet malt aromas are nearly hidden beneath giant floral and grapefruit hops. Resinous flavors, quite dry front and middle, exciting hops. But the malts struggle to keep up and even any residual sweetness is tainted by an attack of bitterness and back-of-the-palate astringency. Lovely mouthfeel is soft, brisk, bubbly, yet full. Very tasty in the vein of popular IPAs, but I think more backbone would go a long way in making this one a more substantial brew. Thanks Willie!

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2005 bottle. a deep honey gold, slightly cloudy with an extremely thick foamy head. even though I am not a hop head, this IPA is well balanced and very enjoyable!!!

had this again for just the 2nd time last night ( 11/26/05 ) and since this was one of the first IPA’s I’d ever tried, felt I needed to raise the rating a bit. such a smooth and well balanced IPA. may become a regular in my frig this next summer.

Smell of fresh oranges hits your nose after pouring a light orange/gold color with a big white head that settles down with time. Taste is very balanced and enjoyable with citrus, light sweet malts, and some cascade hops blending well. Finish is extremely pleasant not leaving any trace of bitterness in my mouth. There was something fishy about the packaging, though.

bottled: poured into chilled glass. lovely deep amber color. perfect long lasting head... i drank the whole thing and the head was still about 1/4 inches. Great smooth hoppy taste and aroma. Similar to other IPA’s as far as Palate. Strongly recommend this one.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2008 This was a very citrusy IPA, big floral hop character, sweet citrus hop syrup smell. A kinda citrus candy sweetness travels throughout this brew finishing with a nice grapefruit flavored hop bitterness, and an earthy heartiness to the finish. Pours very light, a deep gold color, very clear, with a white head.
