India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Fantastic beer. Had it on draft at the Brewhouse Grille in Camp Hill, PA. Could smell the Cascade hops from a mile away, similar to Stone IPA and Troegs Nugget Nectar in character and taste. Had it last year in a six pack but not as memorable as the draft.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2010 I’ve been thirsty for this brewer ever since I signed up here. And FINALLY I make it to Detroit for the Movement music fest and just so happen to come along to a place called Jacoby’s that had a Bells product. The previous night I was left high and dry when i got to the club too late and they already stopped serving...sooo I missed out on the stout. Anyhow. VERY FINE IPA. Complex yet subtle in every degree. From the hoppy malt nose to the hop-in-the-kitchen taste. Very refreshing and clean and well blended. Some tartiness here, some sweetness there. Each sip was different. Fruits to Grasses. TECHNO AND BEER!! Because I miss this so much, it gets a 5.

Bottled. Pours a hazy light amber with a substantial yellow-white head with plenty of lace. The aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, with the smallest hint of pine. Medium body with medium carbonation. The nicely rounded taste starts sweet, with oranges, bread, apples, honey and toffee. The IPA-level hops finally show up in a bitter aftertaste. This is a really tasty, absolutely sessionable beer, but I have a hard time seeing it as an IPA.

On trade from sliffy. From bottle pours a cloudy light orange with thick white head. Nose is piney with a hint of floral. Flavor follows with a crisp, bitter finish. Very drinkable IPA.

12 oz bottle courtesy of gputty. Hazy, dirty yellow pour with a white head. Mostly floral nose, some grapefruit notes. Smooth, medium bitter. Nice, but I donít get the hype.

Clear, orangey-gold, nearly white head. Very, very nice peachy-plum fruity aroma -- like when you open your produce drawer and youíve got some fruit thatís about to get over-ripe. Robust AIPA flavor, diacetyls, caramel, pine, mildly briney. A mature pint. Finish is medium and the hops donít cling. Buttery at times. Better as it warms. Excellent.

A great session IPA. Not overwhelming but distinctive. I was a little put-off at first by the thin gold color, but the flavor is full with a satisfying feel to the mouth.

Best damn IPA. The Two-Hearted has a viciously hopped aromatic bouquet. The flavor is balanced like freight-train and crisp like the autumn air. The bouquet reveals itself on your bitter ridge taste buds sending G-force quivers down your palateís fault line. This intense IPA splashes smoothly down the throat with a fluffy, creamy head. Plenty of swirling sediment adds to its robust, flawless character.

The hoppy aroma immediately brings to mind sugary flowers. Orange/tangerine notes rush forward as well. The color is dark gold with with a smaller white head. The mouthfeel is exceptionally full and delicious. The flavor is of course the main attraction. More citrus on the tongue, really kind of bitter but like any IPA. This is the IPA to measure against all others.

This is the finest IPA Iíve ever tasted. It is so well made and such a refreshing change from the "sledgehammer" IPAís that dominate the market. The aroma is reminiscent of hop perfume, absolutely perfect. The appearance can be a little cloudy, just age in the fridge for a week and pour straight out with no gurgling. The flavor just sings with American hops and a great malt backbone. Bitterness is just right. So well made and so well balanced, I donít know how they do it. A definite must try.
