India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2014 Ah IPA another of my favorite styles. I have managed to have this beer several times in the past but for some reason I have never managed to rate it. Sampled from a typical 12 oz brown bottle this fine beer poured a rich golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. Very pretty. A strong grapefruit, pine and sweet sugary scent fairly explodes from the glass as one can smell this one before the glass is even taken in hand. The front taste is sweet and pear like with a thick mouthfeel. Then on comes full bore hops. Strong elements of grapefruit that become dominant and linger forever on the aftertaste. Really a very fine IPA.

Gosh this beer has a lot going for it. The color is somewhat unusual for an IPA. As my wife called it, a golden honey color. An outrageous melding of scents in the aroma. Everything is here, bananas, citrus (lemon, grapefruit most prevelant), hops and possibly some spice. If I give it some thought Im sure I might find something else in the aroma. The beer is a nice balance of citrus flavors, mostly grapefruit. With a genuine hop finish. Quite enjoyable.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2008 Great fruit nose of orange, apple and almost rosey notes. Slightly murky orange color with big white rocky head that has good lacing. Big citrus flavors like grapefruit and orange. Nice creamy texture. Hoppy but very balance with a great grain profile and a dry finish. This is one great beer.

bottle. Huge rocky off white head. Cloudy light orange color. Aroma lightly sweet, citrus, peach, and grapefruit. Light body. Light malt sweetness backed by big hop flavor of citrus/grapefruit. Long pleasant bitterness, good balance.

Looks a little weak after the pour, but when you take a taste all is forgiven. This is a great ale! Nice citrusy notes. Wonderful hoppiness. Decent malting in the background. This puppy packs a slight punch despite its initial look. Buy this beer.

Poured a little lighter than expected golden color, white head. Big floral aroma, lightly sweet, quite hoppy. Flavor was piney and lemony, hops were definitely kicking, yet not overpowering. Medium boded, finishes bitter, very drinkable. Very good, thanks NorthYorkSammy.

Pours a hazy pale gold color with small head. Pine dominates the aroma. Nice pine hop aroma to start, some sweetness in there too. Leads to a dry finish with a decent bitterness. Very pleasing to me.

Piney hop aroma with hints of sour apple. Pours a moderately hazy pallor yellow color with a small white head. Start seems to be missing something. Very Very dry and tangy at the finish. A good IPA, but I think Im missing something here that everyone else tastes.
