COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Piney, citrusy, tropical fruit from the centennial hops. Super drinkable. Nicely balanced IPA

Not that impressed sadly...Iíve bought a six pack of this stuff and it was..eh. Then I bought the mini or pony keg, twice and it was..eh. Now prior to these last three purchases of THA Iíve had great pleasure drinking this beer, in fact it was my first beer where I was told what kind of beer I was drinking and not just one of the big three breweries. The beer I currently drink is ok. I wouldnít turn it down if the other alternatives were the MCB trio, but I canít but feel duped.."I bought this again?"

Citrus and light mango aroma. Slight hops bitterness with citrus flavoring. Good carbonation and palate feel. Overall very nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2013 Pours a golden amber, thick white head. Pine and citrus to the nose. Feels like a hop and grapefruit bite on the tongue. No bready smell or taste like the previous bottle. Grabs my mouth a bit more than the last bottle. On this tasting I am increasing the aroma from 8 to 9, and increasing taste from 6 to 8. My first rating was 2/26/13 - 3.80 - I was warned that this beer wasnít going to be as good as I was expecting it to be... Pours a mildly hazy golden brown. White head that quickly dissipates. Minimal lacing. Good hop floral note to the nose. Very light on the tongue, slight bready taste, citrus, pine. Not the palette kick I was hoping for. -To IPA is to be.

Hops are right there from the beginning. Tried in Northern Lower Michigan. Quickly became favorite of the week. Clear color and nice head. Finishes bitter. Limited availability, not sold everywhere that Bellís other products are available, well worth looking for.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2007 I tend to favor the imperial IPAs, but I must say that this brew is one of the best IPAs Iíve had yet. The complex hop bouquet nose greets you immediately. While the hop bill on this is no doubt a great combination, it is the delicate bread-like malt combinaton that impressed me the most. A near-perfect brew.

A little over a month old bottle so still pretty fresh. A- Really nice appearance, one finger off white head, very clear dark golden yellow color, splotching lacing, nice carbonation. S- The aroma is really nice, smooth, very refreshing, juicy fruity flavors (peach, grapefruit, citrus) piney hops, nice malt backbone. T- This is just a quality year round IPA, really balanced, solid fruity flavors, big grapefruit, pine, citrus, nice malt presence to balance it out, this is just a really balanced IPA. M- Medium/light mouth feel, well carbonated, really smooth, extremely easy drinkability. O- This is the craft beer that started it all for me; Iíve had this so many times and have always forgotten to review it, just a quality beer that I will always fall back on, always reliable.

This beer was one of the highlights of the 2005 GABF. Nice copper color - hard to tell much about the head with my tiny glass. Aroma was fruity and floral. Hops throughout with a sharpness in flavor that ended on a dry note.

Smelling while still in the bottle blasts flowers and pineapple and melon. In the glass was nicely clouded and aroma was more floral and complex. Tasted sublime for a style thatís been played to death. Hops were there but not "punch you in the face" bitter as most IPAs are. Really outstanding....pricey but worth it. Highly recommended.

Nice thick white head, hazy color, amazing aroma...hints of pine, citrus, pineapple. Amazing
