4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is the way that an American IPA should be. Has a great hoppy taste, almost a candied citrus fruit taste. The head is a creamy chewy white. The nearly perfect American IPA!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Great IPA, Great aroma, great flavor. This one starts great at the nose, has an extremely well balance, and finishes the same. Very hoppy, but has the malt to balance. Definately recommend this beer and will have again.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2006 12oz. bottle, slightly hazy gold/orange with a foamy white head of large bubbles that lasts. Lots of dense lacing. Intense floral hop aroma, grapefruit, pine. Flavor matches aroma, could use a bit more malt flavor. Mouthfeel is watery and moderately carbonated. Finishes with pine, citrus and hops. Somewhat acidic.

12 ounce bottle. Gold color with a nice white head. Taste has some citrus and some pine to it. Finish is a little bitter. A well balanced IPA that is enjoyable start to finish.

This is the beer that started me down the path to hop-head ruination. Centennial hops and lots of them. Floral/citrus notes, lots of IBUs and packs a real alcohol wollop. And that aroma!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells floral.. hoppy... like a good IPA should... almost of pine. Beautiful light amber coloring... Creamy head with pretty lacing. POW! The bitterness hits you right in the jaw. Bitter in the front and in the back. Too bitter for my tastes, but perfectly characteristic of the style. I am rating this higher than I like it, mostly because I know what a good IPA should taste like, and this is it.

If you like it bitter, you’ll love this one. For me, though, the bitterness was just a little overpowering, to the point I couldn’t detect much maltiness. Nice finish and clean aftertaste of high-quality hops, but I couln’t drink more than a couple of these at a time
