India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2009 Appearance: reddish, orange, copper, light haze; above average head with decent retention Aroma: lots of fruit, floral, and citrus, as expected from the centennial hops; very easy to enjoy Flavor: wow, centennial is quite different than simcoe; all floral and fruit; very easy to like; refreshing; also a noticeable grainy, yeasty presence which adds, rather than subtracts, from the overall experience; medium to medium-high bitterness, and it is kept in check nicely Palate: pretty smooth; medium bodied; quite high carbonation--probably too high; (tasted twice)

Bottle to pint glass. Thick, foamy white head. Nice lacing. Excellent pine hop aroma. Slight malty sweetness intermixed with the heavy hop bitterness. One of the better well rounded IPAs on the market. Excellent beer

Pours a slightly reddish rich golden colour with a nice off-white head. Forward aromas of cherry & grapefruit accompanied by lots of spice, resin, slight dank & subtle malt as it warms. Taste is crisp, somewhat grassy, nicely bitter, with smooth but tart finish that keeps on expanding on the spice and malt. Light to medium bodied, this beer is very refreshing. Delicious!

Bottle from ABC. Pours a medium golden amber with a white head that lasts forever. Mostly floral and piney aromas with a hint of malt character. Hops abound with a sweet finish. Acquire. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light notes of floral grapefruit citrusy aroma, well balanced looking amber orange appeal, medium body bitterness with an excellent hop pop, extremely pleasurable to the lips, and this my friends in my opinion is well deserving of its hierarchy ratings.

bottled: poured into chilled glass. lovely deep amber color. perfect long lasting head... i drank the whole thing and the head was still about 1/4 inches. Great smooth hoppy taste and aroma. Similar to other IPAís as far as Palate. Strongly recommend this one.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2007 Looks and smells like an IPA should. Sparkling copper color with a nice foamy head. Aroma is citrusy hops with a touch of grapefruit. A clean flavor with citrus and a nice bitter finish. Very well balanced, flawless IPA. Re-rate - I made Stone IPA a 5 because itís the one beer in the world I canít live without. This one is right behind and deserves this high rating, IMO.

12oz bottle thanks to Jaye. Pours light golden colour with lots of off white foam, and it sticks around for a while. Aroma of citrus hops and a little malt. Taste is very smooth, with proper amount of IPA hop bitterness. Flavour dies away rather abruptly, leaving a thirst for me. A nice IPA.
