COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

The apperance was wonderful. It is a nice burnt or orange straw color. It was clear till I swirled in the dregs from the bottle. The head is very nice. It is a nice creamy head that was huge and stucke to my glass like nothing else. The smell was hops all the way, nothing but hops. Very floral. The taste was very disappointing. It had hops but it was very thin and almost watery. There is very little malt in this beer and it makes it lose it's body. Could be a lot better. Not a bad beer but not what I expected it to be.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2009 The best of the best; the creme de la creme; I get the pleasure of having cask conditioned 2H at a local pub; 2H in a bottle or on tap is amazing, but cask conditioned will blow your mind. With the CC you get much more of the true goodness - the flowery, citrusy taste will nicely coat your palate, without the typical hops explosion. I loved the beer before; now I am obsessed.

Good beer. I’ve had on tap and in bottle. It may have been the night, but I liked the tap better. Beer is very hoppy, and maybe a little too citrusy, but I liked it just the same. I think I like DFH 90 minute IPA a little better, but very similar beers.

Poured a golden orange color with a very thin head. Head retention was minimal and patchy. Aroma was not as strong as expected but good hints of citrus were present. Flavor was commanding with a great strong hoppy finish. Clean, keeps you wanting more...

I’m fortunate that I can get this beer here in Florida. This beer is a light amber color with an excellent head that leaves plenty of lace. The taste is well balanced with cake like pale malts underneath the strong hop flavors. The hops are very fresh tasting and floral and fruity in the best way. The mouth feel is medium thick and almost perfect for an IPA. A very enjoyable beer that is in my refrigerator most of the time.

Cascade hits nose quick, complex texture allows hops to break in to every bit of rich but light malt palate. the bitterness holds long, head is well laced and fizz distributed widely on the palate. As it warms in the glass, more fruitty details come forth. Purity of malt, base bitter and finish taste makes this a fine example; exceptional and obtainable.

From the bottle. Further evidence why I do not possess much appreciation for hoppy IPAs. This is one strong IPA with a powerful floral odor and sharp finish.

Great aroma. HIgh ABV, which is nice. Plus, the sticker talks about Hemingwayesque trips to the U.P. Can’t beat it.

Among the best IPA’s I’ve had. Very well balanced, not too hoppy. This is a beer that both hop-heads, and non hop-heads can enjoy.
