India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Crack the cap and smell the hops. Very flowery hops aroma. Dark golden brown color with a nice head. Awakens your tongue with the strong hops flavor. Absolutely one of my favorites. Although I dont recommend an entire 6 pack in a sitting. You will pay for it.

Pours amber with small head. Aroma is light, some fruits, oily notes, roses, sweet flowers. Taste is light, some pine, citrus, fruits, hops, grapefruit. ABV well hidden. Quite light and therefore little bit disappointing, nothing special to me. PKGD 03/01/2016.

Can from Mikkeller & Friends bottle shop, Copenhagen. Really looking forward to this legendary IPA, which hasn’t been available in Norway yet. However, my previous experiences with American IPAs imported to Europe has been less than impressive, probably due to transportation and storage issues. So this is exciting. :-) Pours a hazy deep orange body with a medium off-white head. Nose is pine, herbs, blood oranges, citrus zest, rose water and hints of bready malts, grapefruit and light syrup. Taste is pine, citrus peel, grapefruit, herbs and hints of caramel, floral notes and resin. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. My verdict: lovely aroma, but the taste, however balanced, is not as amazing as I’d hoped for. Still, a super-solid and well brewed classic-tasting American IPA.

Can. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is grapefruit, piney, mango and toasted malts. Taste is quite grapefruity and more mango, quite piney, and a nice residual sweetness. Bitter finish with a toasty malt body. An extremely well-balanced IPA. Medium to high carbonation. Good!

Delicious IPA. Really well balanced, incredibly drinkable. Perfect restraint in the bitterness... no hop bomb here, just a really good beer.

Bottle. Pale amber colour. Orange, pineapple, tangerines, lemon, hints of berries in the aroma. Refreshing and juicy. Oranges and tangerines all the way in the taste. Hints of other fruits. Bitterness in the end. Nice, silky palate. Juicy, rather light bodied, medium carbonated, really drinkable beer.

Grapefruit, caramel, citric, pineapple, ABV well integrated. Slightly hazy amber colour, medium off-white head, lacing. Big resinous bite, mid-sweet, lots of grapefruit and light pineapple in the taste. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Longed to try this for years.

Caramel orange clear color with foam ring. Very fresh grassy and forestry nose. Creamy smooth mouth feeling and nice balanced hoppy bitterness. No tartness and a smooth silky finish and light bitter aftertaste.

Bell’s Two Hearted Ale has a thin-to-medium white head, a somewhat hazy, bubbly, orange-gold appearance, with some stringy lacing left behind. The aroma is of apricot-like hop oils and sweet, white bread. Taste is of those elements, with pronounced, but in now way harsh, bitterness. Mouthfeel is high medium, and Bell’s Two Hearted Ale finishes dry and highly drinkable. RJT

Bottle @ Gambrinus, Tartu. Pours golden/orange with small white head, doesnt stay. Aroma: citrus, grass, weak pine and resin, caramel, tropical fruits, actually theres a freshly catched and cut fish(like in a bottle), Taste: medium bitter with some sweetness, hay, mango, trpical fruits, grass, weak resin. Easy to drink. Well balanced, maybe too well. Medium body. Smooth bitter finish.Just a good IPA.
