India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Pours a cloudy golden-orange color. Medium head. Aroma is lemon pineapple with slight alcohol. Taste is definitely citrus with malt finishing. Good aftertaste. A nice dry hoppy IPA. Good.

Draft. Pours clear copper with a foamy one finger head. Aroma is straight hops, grapefruit and grass. Flavor is huge hops, smooth and not too bitter, but hops with almost no mention of malt.

This stuff runs out of the taps in my neck of the woods at the local downtown pubs like water. Though i’m not a huge fan of this ipa it is a good go to when your trying to figure out what to drink next. Has a bitter hop bite that i’m not fond of but does leave a semi pleasant aftertaste. Put it on your to try list!

Bottle. Pours a large, off-white, foamy head. Slightly hazy, golden body. Thick citrus and fruity hop aroma. Some clementine. More of the same in the flavor profile, but with an increased intensity. Slight bread crust to go with the orange marmalade. Well-hidden alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, with a bitter, slightly sticky finish. Overall a tasty, straightforward, no-nonsense IPA.

slightly hazy, dark golden in color, nice white head with lots of lacing, med-light carbonation. Flavors are mostly of floral grapefruity hops that are fairly sharp but not over the top. mouthfeel is moderate to full. Somehow this beer also has a fair crisp quality to it that is lighter than most other strong hopped beers. (note that Im not an IPA kinda guy) Overall I like this, its probobly the best IPA Ive had, I would drink it again, but not buy it.

Medium amber color with nice lacing. You dont see too much of this from an ipa or ale from the bottle. Aroma isnt too pungent for an ipa, some hoppy citrus notes but mellow. Crisp, hoppy some pale malts liven up the palate. Acidic and bitter but has a metallic aftertaste. Sorry had better ipas. I guess hopslam is next.

Draft. Hazy golden orange with a medium orangey-white head. Aroma and flavor are all about the hops: citrus (orange and grapefruit?), floral, piney. Hops are big, but the bitterness is tolerable (I’m, generally speaking, a malt-head rather than a hopper). Not a very balanced beer -- I guess that’s probably the point. A very good IPA, but didn’t live up to what I expected from the ratings.

On tap at the eccentric cafe. Nose is sweet citrus. Pours a golden orange with a fragrant white pale to white head. Has some bright citrus and sweetness, but the bitterness comes across almost earthy. A little different from your average IPA.

12/11/11/12/11/11
