India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2011 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy, murky amber. Significant off-white head, sticks with it. Aroma is a fruity, very floral hop aroma. Smells a bit like banana or pineapple. Wow. Flavor is also dominated by intense fruit and hops. A bit of a pine note to it, which isn’t unpleasant at all. Very crisp. One of the best IPA’s I’ve had. - 2/18/08 It’s been a long time, old friend. Just had a Two-Hearted Ale, special delivery. Wow again. What an amazing beer. -12/10/11

Very nice IPA, normally not a big fan of IPA, but this beer changed my mind. Where have you been all my Life?

Courtesy of Jaghana. Couleur orangée, légère mousse. Nez fort houblonné sapin, fruits exotiques confits, caramel blond. Gout fruité, houblonné floral, herbes sèches, résine, amertume amande, caramel blond, longue amertume en fin de bouche. Très bonne ipa mais un peu surcotée....

Can 50cl, a copper amber beer with good head and nice lace work. Nose is very intense on blond caramel, hop resin, fresh exotic fruits. Aroma is on resin, vanilla, blond caramel, coconut oily, quite round, touch of quince, apples, quite rich body, good complexity,

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2016 This IPA is hands down one of the tops that I have ever drank in my life. There is nothing bad about this beer.

16 fl oz can from Beer Gonzo. Pours an orange-gold amber colour with a creamy foam head leaving lots of lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, citrusy, hop resins. Taste is malt caramel balanced with juicy fruits, floral citrus, grapefruit, resiny, pine and spicy hop bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, lingering dry tangy bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Pint can from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Strong citrus, pine, lemon, grapefruit aroma. Taste is leaning towards the herbal side, nice tropical Background, caramel malt with a decent bitter finish, but not too bitter. Can understand the hype completely.

1 pint can at home in Richmond, as ’Bells Two Hearted Ale’, 7%, under 3 months since canning. Dark brick orange, translucent, lightly sparkling, huge dense foamy cream head leaves very uniform lacing. Aroma is fresh and fruity - some pineapple and tangerine. Body is a little frothy and fizzy. Taste is toffee-sweet, strong piney hops, resin, candyfloss, grassy finish with a touch of spice, mint and booze. A real pine bomb. Good.

Aroma: fruity and hoppy; Appearance: amber with fluffy white head that lingers; Taste: fruity - but was influenced by lemon problem at Flying Saucer; Overall: need to re-rate.

Bottle@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium/strong, wide aroma with sweeter malts and fruits in a balanced combination. Golden color with orange nuances on it. Medium, natural white head and slightly hazy liquid. Medium, balanced taste with sweet malts, apricot and quite a lot of hops. Fruity sweetness and malty aromas are in perfect combination, something between IPA and APA. Wide/medium taste spectrum and medium malty, slightly fruity aftertaste. Medium body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, more maltiness makes this product a bit different. Superb implementation makes it almost perfect.
