Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Always wanted to try this one... Nice big vanilla whiskey bourbon barrel aroma, but no bite or burn. Works well with the bready, biscuity rich flavors of the wheat wine. A light, orange citrus hop aroma. Clear golden orange color. Smooth, kind of slick texture. Lighter carbonation. Bigger body. Nice long vanilla, lightly spicy bready wheaty rich aftertaste. Moderate sweet taste, light alcohol warmth. Tasty, big complex wheat wine.

draft sampler...poured an amber color with minimal white head. aroma of of oaken barrel and booze and not in a bad way. actually pretty good the flavor is oberon if you close your eyes but with the bourbon really like the flavor of the wheat and bourbon mix...mild yet boozy..

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Tap: Cloudy, amber body, similar to Oberon (duh) but maybe a bit darker. Foamy, beige head that reduces to a stretchy film quickly. Aroma is fairly light, actually. Mild bourbon, light orange & citrus zest, white pepper, and some strong barrel-induced vanilla in the back. Taste is mostly bourbon and oak, like drinking a liquid bourbon barrel, but not quite as harsh as it sounds. A little timid orange zest from time to time, and some soft wheat in the background, but this is largely barrel. Itís much better than I was expecting, really. Itís like an extremely tame bourbon with some orange peel and wheat notes tossed in.

On draft at Sidetrack. The pour is a golden orange, almost coppery color, with minimum head and lacing. The aroma has a little hops, but a lot of booze. It almost smells like a vodka, or other cheap liquor. The taste is somewhat bland. It's got the wheat, and some malts, but not much more. For smelling like a bottle of booze, there is a lot more to be desired. It doesn't hang around too long, either ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at bells, pours a dark amber, a nice headiness to it, smell was a bourbony woody character, the flavour was fairly strong bourbon booziness and for me didnt really complement the oberon, this may be too light of a beer to barrel age, it was pretty hot, it might be good with a small aging period.

Draft at Bellís 28th birthday party at Renoís East. clear orange with thin white head. Heavy bourbon flavor adds depth to the standard oberon flavor.

On tap at Bellís Eccentric Cafe. A deep, clear amber with an excellent head and lacing. Smells and tastes like a light, wheaty barleywine. O: Like no other beer Iíve ever had. Much enjoyed even though I donít much like Oberon.

3/4 pour to a shaker at Maduro Cigar Bar in Madison, WI., for Bellís GToM pre-party. Showed a fairly clear, deep golden color, with a very light amount of off white head, and negligible lacing. Sweet, with tanniny barrel hints, touch of vanilla, and light wheat. Medium bodied, with low carbonation. Light bourbon and itís alcohol presence was also noticed. Tasty, but a barrel-aged summer sessionable? Kind of an evil twin thing. Thanks, PJ. Always a great time!

Tap at Maduro pre-GTMW 2013. Hazy orange-tan. Thin glass rimming head. Probably the mildest bourbon barrel beer Iíve ever had. Smooth caramel on top of mellow wheat. Pretty nice beer. Smooth and easy.
