Tap. Poured hazy orange copper color with an average off-white frothy head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex vanilla wood and wheat aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bourbon sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. A better version of a soft beer.

Draft. Woody bourbon, orange and peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange, bourbon, and orange peel flavor. Nice blend of beer.

Not the same abv that is listed here. Smells like a sweaty cider. Flavor is extremely harsh.

Draft in a sampler at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves some lace streaks. Aroma of vanilla, wheat, oak, toffee, bubblegum, and dried apricot. Flavor of vanilla, tea, wheat, lemon, and oak. Light-Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a tea-like mouthfeel. Starts sweet and finishes earthier. Odd but interesting.

Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Always wanted to try this one... Nice big vanilla whiskey bourbon barrel aroma, but no bite or burn. Works well with the bready, biscuity rich flavors of the wheat wine. A light, orange citrus hop aroma. Clear golden orange color. Smooth, kind of slick texture. Lighter carbonation. Bigger body. Nice long vanilla, lightly spicy bready wheaty rich aftertaste. Moderate sweet taste, light alcohol warmth. Tasty, big complex wheat wine.

Draft to taster at Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; a transparent light golden orange with white lacing. Smells solid; like Oberon with a heavy but pleasant bourbon influence. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have wheat malts, bread, orange citrus, light vanilla and wood. The body is very light and watery. Surprising that it is 10 %. Iím not really a fan of this.

On tap: The aroma consists of fruit, citrus, bourbon, and vanilla. Itís a hazy amber with a two finger white head that has good retention and lacing. The flavor starts with fruit and citrus. The finish has light-moderate bourbon and vanilla. Itís light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, better than I expected.

Tap at Maduro pre-GTMW 2013. Hazy orange-tan. Thin glass rimming head. Probably the mildest bourbon barrel beer Iíve ever had. Smooth caramel on top of mellow wheat. Pretty nice beer. Smooth and easy.

Got it at the Eccentric cafe. Pretty cool idea, taking a somewhat boring wheat ale and aging it in bourbon barrels. The result is a lot of whisky and oak in the nose, and a lot of whisky in the taste. Basically, takes the light wheat notes out of the beer and replaces them with bourbon. I liked it.
