UPDATED: JUN 25, 2013 On tap at Bells Eccentric Cafe 6-21-13. This doesnít taste much like an Oberon. Tastes more like a cross between a very smooth scotch and white wine. Bourbon and fruit but not a lot of wheat. Very good beer, but definitely not a session beer.

Draft at Maxís. Thick golden beer with long head retention. Canít see through it but thick looking. The cold fights the sweetness but it comes out as it warms. The sweetness hides alcohol, didnít think itís 10abv. Still some coriander and citrus aroma. But flavor loses all the nuance and itís just a sweet wheat tea beer.

Draft in a sampler at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves some lace streaks. Aroma of vanilla, wheat, oak, toffee, bubblegum, and dried apricot. Flavor of vanilla, tea, wheat, lemon, and oak. Light-Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a tea-like mouthfeel. Starts sweet and finishes earthier. Odd but interesting.

Tap. Poured hazy orange copper color with an average off-white frothy head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex vanilla wood and wheat aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bourbon sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. A better version of a soft beer.
