3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Ashleys. A fresh bread, malt and crisp hop nose. A fairly signature blast of Bells yeast profile kicks in for a distinct aroma. Pours a lightly hazed burnished gold, with a soapy white head. Flavor is rich and right in line with the aroma. A really, crisp juicy British hop cone touch, followed by some deeper malts, an edge of bread, and some nice yeast finish. Alcohol warms the back glow of this beer. Fresh, juicy, supple and a bit spicy. Very nice. Was really glad to have an opportunity to try this!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not real impressed by it, much carbonation with a citrus and orange flavor.....didnt drink much of it, but might try it again the next time I go......which may be tomorrow.
pretty much what you would expect from a wedding, but with out the stomach turning one might get from the standard Bud Light.
It could be worse....

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Eccentric Cafe. Orangish haze for a body. Aromas are mostly of orange and citrus and maybe there is a hint of alcohol in the nose. Flavor is kind of a mess (especially at first) of orange, alcohol and sweetness... but things get better as I work my way through it. By the end of the glass, we’ve made our peace and I would drink it again. It comes off as crisp and fruity with a bit of a high ABV (8% on the chalkboard).

Draft at Eccentric cafe’. Poured hazy goldish orange in color with a medium sized beige head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, fruity esters, honey. Tastes of citrus, wheat, honey, mild spices, fruity esters, with a slight alcohol warming in the finish. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
It’s been a while, but as someone mentioned, Clarkston Union Bell’s night on tap. I asked Larry Bell himself about this beer, commenting that, though good, it had no finish. His reply was something to the effect that the "finish" was that after few of these, you left with the hot chick at the wedding. Funny stuff. Good guy that Larry.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Maduro, Bells GTMW pre-party. Loved the tap head of the bride chasing the groom. Cloudy light golden with a ring of white head. Aroma of citrus--orange and lemon--with some white pepper. The flavor was the aforementioned citrus, with some added spicy alcohol. White pepper was still present as well as some sweet honey notes. Light carbonation with a medium body. Not incredible, considering the other offerings that night.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Maduro’s
I split a pint of this was someone. My palate was beginning to tire and I wanted to save it for the good stuff on Saturday. Perhaps if I run across this at the Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo I’ll give it another try. It reminds me of the Left Bank/Right Bank/Batch 8000 releases in some ways but not quite as enjoyable.
Aroma / Appearance - The orange cloudy body was hazy enough that I couldn’t see anything through it. A thin oily head played coyly across the top. Orange, yeast and wheat create a moderately sweet nose which is thick but not cloying.
Flavor / Palate - The first sip reminded me of an alcopop version of Orange Slice. Yeast and rye bread bring things back to reality along with some other fruity tastes. I found it a little on the thick side which meant it was not sessionable at all. Even at ’only’ 7% I had to take my time and sip it. It tastes a bit strong for a wit to me, even an American one.
