Draft. Poured an dark amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus honey and wheat aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy lemon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: The beer pours amber in color with a nice, tall, white head.
S: Sort of a bland nose, I find. The spices are definitely there. Itís heavy on the coriander and orange peel notes. I donít get a ton from the honey, though there is a bit of floral character. Plenty of bread and cracker malts, though.
T: Sweet, pale malts with a light biscuit and cracker flavor make up most of the flavor. There is a good amount of floral character as well as a strong flavor of spices: coriander, pepper, and orange peel. Thereís something slightly savory about it.
M: Medium in body with a rather high level of carbonation.
O: Not the greatest nose, but just sort of bland more than offensive. An okay beer. Nice to try, but not amazing.

Tap at Caponeís. Hazy golden pour with a larger sized white head. Grains with citrus. Some bread with spices. Lighter honey, but thatís fine with me. Nothing really stood out.

Pale golden pour. The nose is pretty light and wheaty. Lightly yeasty sweetness. Light citrus on the nose. A bit of soft earthy/spicy hoppiness. Fresh and tasty, but itís not terribly complex. I like it though.

Funky yeast aroma. Lots of wheat, blood orange, honeyish. Great spicy finish, the bitterness seems higher than the IBU would indicate. Yellow bodied. It grows on me as regards drinkability. A rare bottle, so thanks for sharing Johnsense.

Bottle number 94/203 thanks to womencantsail. Pours with a lightly hazed golden body with a white head. Aromas are strongly spicy. Big time coriander, cumin, celery, belgian yeast. Smells like chicken stock. Candied orange peel. Flavors of light umami, beef bullion, coriander and candied orange peel. Odd. Lively bubbles, medium bodied.

On tap at the 2005 Great Taste of the Midwest: Pours a hazy cloudy golden with a thin white head. Aroma is dry, grassy, lightly malty and complex. Body starts with a nice Belgian malty sweetness, a touch of coriander and light citrus, with a full-bodied, nicely hopped finish. An interesting and nicely balanced brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Great Taste of the Midwest. Poured a medium, hazy golden with a dusting of white head. Nose was of lemon zest and tart wheat... with more citrus as it warmed. Flavor was of tart lemon zest, spicy wheat... caramel, wheat, and lemon at the finish. The tartness was a tad high and the carbonation felt a tad off... still solid, though.
