3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. Pour hazy yellow, with a big, fluffy, off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mandarin oranges and some lemon zest, with the distinct note of Belgian yeast that adds notes of biscuit dough and strawberries. There are some aromas of honey, flowers, coriander, and fresh-cut grass. Nice citrusy sweetness up front, with a good tartness and mild hop bitterness. Lightly sour in the finish. Medium body, a little acidic, and grainy. This is an incredibly complex, flavorful, and interesting beer. A strange mix of witbier, saison, and sour ale. This is what wheat ales ought to be.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was good. Interesting calling it a wheat wine which is a good term for it. Good spicy miuthfeel and full body. Brings out the sweet banana and orange with the wheat. Hazy and heady. A good example of what a strong wheat ale is like

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle. Very cloudy, orange color. Aroma of bread dough, yeasty wheat ale, typical banana & clove. Tastes like a Hefeweisen, bread, puffed wheat, lemon zest, banana eaters. Very trashy character, ABV very well hidden. Smooth texture. (3884)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy light amber pour with a white head. Aromas of wheat malt, yeast, and banana. Flavor is like a cross between a hefeweizen and an abbey trippel. Interesting concept. Finish is slightly sharp but itís a pretty drinkable beer.

Very good beer. Very light and easy to drink considering the high alcohol content.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very light orange/tan pour with a few inches of very lively white head, very cloudy pour. Sweet powdery scent, like a very sweet belgian: buttery cloves, very yeasty, sweet hay. Low carbonation, velvety mouthfeel thatís so feathery and beyond light, bitter taste of carbon on dry finish. Flavor is very belgian with buttery cloves just like the nose, some intense earthy tastes, pert bitter, a hint of funk and sour euro malt, grassy. Very interesting beer. Like a huge well rounded belgian thatís super bitter.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2013 Bottle: short hazy orange-amber body with a super huge & creamy off-white head that leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma is full of yeast & wheat. Bubblegum, orange zest, heavy clove, & banana esters. Some finishing lemon/citrus zest in the back-end. Taste is clumpy bread, yeast, heavy wheat, clove, light bubblegum, banana sweetness, & some light lemon-y & orange-y notes in the aftertaste. Somewhere between a hefeweizen, a Belgian strong pale, & a Tripel. Full bodied, thick & heavy. Slight medicinal notes in the finish with some warmth & time.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Pale golden yellow, slightly cloudy, thick generous head. Aroma of yeast, bananas, rather Belgian. Taste follows aroma - sweet at the start, bananas, yeast, a little bitter in the finish. Quite nice.
