Honey, toasted rye bread, cola, dried orange peal. Flavor is gently toasty malt, a bit of clean orange, and an underlying spicy hum. Nice tingly mouthfeel, and a clean refreshing finish. Very tasty. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Wheaty, lightly phenolic aroma, touch of lemon. Medium-full bodied, wheaty, with some love as well as some more wit-ish notes. Sweetish wheaty finish. Stalish background notes, but I don’t think they’re age-related. Some perfumey hop notes. Okay, but not anything amazing. rajendra82 (700), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 3, 2006 Acquired a while back in a trade with TheBlackMallard, the Wheat Two Ale poured out clear golden yellow (since I held back the yeast in the bottle). Carbonation was active, and the head very small in size. The aroma was very typical of wheat beer, with banana being quite prominent, followed by a lemon-lime smell, a hint of clove, and finally some delicate hay. The taste was very clean showcase of the same fruity and spicy flavors. Considering this was relatively low strength beer that sat in my closet for a couple of months, no degradation was apparent. The body was thicker than typical for the style, and there was a wispy faint hop presence in the aftertaste. The beer felt quenching, yet was complex enough to keep my attention throughout the short session. Towards the end, I swirled in the yeast, and the taste got a touch spicier, while the body got a great deal cloudier. Head and shoulders above almost any other American Wheat, I’ve had. patrick767 (2022), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2006 bottle - thin head, hazy appearance, mild nose of malt and citrus. I too thought this tasted more like a Hefeweizen than an American Wheat, probably due to the nicely balanced citrus flavors. The finish is slightly hoppy. This is a fine wheat beer and definitely worth trying. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2006 Aroma is mostly malty but there is a slight citrus presense. Relatively simple, obviously making it the #2. Flavor is pretty sweet and a little banana. Not your typical american wheat because it’s a little more heavy in body but overall pretty good. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thin and fizzy white head. Tons of visible carbonation. Aroma is bananas and cloves with a grassy and hay-like wheat base. Very fruity and clean. Flavor is light with bananas and cloves over a basic wheat base. Finish is crisp with the slightest hint of yeast. Light bodied with refreshing carbonation that cleans the palate nicely. Well made, but not very exciting. ’Tis the nature of American Wheats. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2006 Sprouts, almonds, bitter hops and cheese in the flavor. Nose is thin though spicy, banana and cinnamon. The most balanced of the four numbered wheats, though still a little odd in the taste... the almond is a little too strong and finishes weird. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2006 Poured a clear yellow color with a thin white head. Citrusy wheaty aroma. Notes of cereal and fruit. Flavor also has some melon notes in it.
