Feb 13, 2006 The nose is of bananas and lemon. Color is a cloudy golden with an off white head. There is a slight hoppiness to the beer with some maltiness.

Feb 12, 2006 If you enjoy wheat beers, then Bell’s Wheat Project is something that you just have to love. They start things off right with Wheat Two Ale. This beer pours to a beautiful, hazy, pale golden color, with a thick, and creamy white head, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent, with estery aromas of banana and pear, paired with some tart wheat malt aroma, and hints of citrus. The palate is firm, with good tart wheat malt flavors, paired with some biscuity pale malt flavor, and some estery fruit. Wheat Two Ale finishes with more good wheat malt flavor up front, then ends with a touch of pale malt sweetness, and some spicy yeast flavor. Really a great showcase of wheat malt aromas, and flavors, with some good yeasty character as well.

Feb 12, 2006 Done as a horizontal with the other 4 Bells Wheat series.
I am glad I started at the other end. If this had been first I might not have finished the horizontal. It smelled of skunk (I cannot call it aroma). The appearance was a chunky hazy yellow, the palate was too thick. And the flavor was spoilt by the smell.

Feb 10, 2006 This seemed a fairly straightforward wheat beer. Grainy and bready in aroma with a slight tang of orange citrus. The pour was a hazy golden with only a slight white head. Taste revealed the yeast and hints of banana and orange giving it a sweet undercurrent. There were also notes of grain and hay on top of the sweetness. A slight fizzy mouthfeel and moderate finish.

Feb 7, 2006 Right off the bat, I am gonna say that I am not a big fan of wheat beers. I want to like them, but I just dont. Hazy, yellow/golden body with a thin ring of white bubbles. An expected, strong wheat aroma with a decent amount of yeast and some sugay sweetness topped off with some bananas. The taste was wheat, yeast, a touch of hay and just a bit of bananas. Not bad as far as wheat beers go.

Feb 5, 2006 Not real hazy, light orange in color. I won’t go as far as saying this is copper in color. Head is slight and goes away fast. Nose is wheat and malt. Hoppy wheat in taste, with a touch of malt. Not much else comes through.

Feb 5, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Hellomynameis. Nice frothy white head on a hazy gold body. Yeasty bread aroma followed by notes of lemon and clove. Medium body and fine carbonation are supported by bananna, citrus, and clove flavors for a classic wheat beer flavor. A light malty sweetness is balanced nicely by just the right amount of hop bitterness to dry out the finish. A fine effort.
