Carbonation was a bit heavy and the wheaty body had a bit of a yeast bite to the finish. Dickinsonbeer (3600), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Pours a deep gold with a nice white head that fades- also pretty cloudy. Aroma is moslty banana, with a bit of ripe apple and other esters, with slight cheesy hints and a bit of must. Flavor is more straightforward and not as complex. Lots of wheat malt in the flavor and palate, with hints of the esters in the end, and a bit of tartness as well. Smells like a belgian/german wheat mix, but tastes like a full bodied american wheat. This is a good experimental wheat beer. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2005 Yellow/amber with white head; hazy when bottom is poured in. Citric in nature, with a nice aroma showing its wheat. Clean, well-rounded flavor of fruity malts, light and refreshing as a cold beer. The palate flagged a bit, with carbonation that wasn’t tight enough to remind me of a Hoegaarden and then slipped a bit to lend a slightly mineral-water edge around the mouth: still very good but not quite the cat’s meow. Overall, enjoyable and an interesting counterpoint to the other beers in the series. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2006 Pale golden yellow color with a slimming cap of whitish hue. A fluffy collar stays at the edge. Drippy lace; not much sticking.
Aroma is dullishly snappy and wheaty, semi yeasty, plasticy, with a bit of banana.
Taste is pale and subdued with a favorable wheat base thats fairly smooth the whole way through. Finishes with a light yeasty dry twist and fluffed grainyness.
Feel is a bit underwhelming if not all together rounded in a wheat malt base. Light to medium in body with a light wheaty texture thats akin to a hefe in many regards.
Very drinkable brew. A decent pale wheat.
Note: Taste tested comparison with back to back mixed samples of the 4, 6, and 8 wheat beers.

Poured a hazy copper color with a medium white head that diminished slowly producing good lacing. Medium spicy wheat aroma. Medium texture. Good complex spice and wheat flavor with a good finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Bottle. Banana, clove, leather, juicy fruit gum, good hit of spicy yeast, good prickly carbonation, and lotion. Tastes like a mild hefe and wit. Probably the best of the series. cbkschubert (2030), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Has a spicey Belgium yeast aroma. Flavor is spicey with a little sweetness to go along with it. Medium body. I wouldn’t consider this an American wheat. More like a dark Wit. No biggie. Still tastes pretty good. Thanks Scott. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
