Tart with red berry aromas. Touch smokey wood. Medium bodied and tart and sour. Woody character. Long sticky finish. Berry notes. Cranberry black cherry and raspberry. Moderately sour. Tasty!
fiver29 (257), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Jun 6, 2008 On tap pours a orange color with off white head. Has a slight twang on the front end of flavor and has a sweetness on the backside. Overall is just a sweet sour. Glouglouburp (1876), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 6, 2008 In short: A sharp and aggressive but thin Flemish style Sour Ale
How: Tap at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe
The look: Cloudy copper with a small beige ring of foam
In long: Oak juice on the nose. Taste has cherries, caramel, oak, red apples. Carbonation is a bit too aggressive for the something thin body. Sourness level is medium-high. The beer is sharp and very tasty but it also lacks depth. A richer malted body would have helped. Still this is a very good beer and the last time I was so charmed by an aggressive Wild One it was a “she” and together we did… stuff that I cannot write here.
TheShat (120), Lakewood, Ohio, USA May 24, 2008 Draft at the Eccentric Cafe. Small head ad cloudy amber color. A pleasant light sour aroma with a touch of mat and yeast. Very tart flavor, sweet as well as sour. A touch of plum. Very nice. Rogueone (311), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA May 19, 2008 Draft @ Brewpub: This poured brown, with an aroma of tart fruits, cherry, vanilla. Has a taste I was having trouble putting my finger on-- reminds me of the bourbon quality of Founders KBS even though that sounds crazy. Definitely has a bourbon sweetness behind the tart. Not as sour as I thought it was going to be, but I did not finish this one.
