DruncanVeasey (1744), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Dec 27, 2007 Bottled. Burton snatch/CE snout with burnt and blackcurrant hints. Smooth, slightly soapy and apple-accented. Burnt, tangy and sourish. Wisps of smoke. Cocoa of the 70% kind. Generous roast to finish with softening biscuity afters. Vanilla sweetness swamped with bittering hops and dark, dark cocoa. Almost pitch. A bit headless, but a fine-tasting specimen.
