Bell’s Winter White Ale is a refreshing take on a seasonal selection. Slight wheaty aroma with a slight spiciness. The slight head dissipates quickly leaving a cloudy wheat beer appearance. Banana flavors dominate with some hefeweizen-like spices and a fizzy finish. Winter White Ale is something I could drink all year.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A slightly opaque yellow body with a white head that had minimal retention and some nice lacing. Some effervescence present. Aroma had a nice mix of dough, coriander, white pepper and a bit of lemon. Flavor had a nice citrus quality. More citrus then the aroma indicated. Spice profile was nice. Pepper notes blended well with the citrus. Carbonation seemed restrained. Which i found to be good. Smooth finish.

An average winter ale st best. Very belgium inspired and fruity. Very carbonated as well. Pours light orange with a white head. Smells like a belgium beer. Had at city winery.

Pours straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is of wheat, spices, banana, clove, and some light fruits. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-light bod with a mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty witbier.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap, this pours a hazy yellow color with a slight off-white head. The aroma is light and citrusy. The flavor is light with lots of citrus and hints of spices. Very well made and a nice change from other Christmas style brews.

12oz bottle pours a hazy straw color. An OK wit, but missing the complexity of an excellent one.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head that fades quickly. The aroma blends wheat, Belgian yeast, clove, and orange peel. The taste is mildly sweet and slightly sour with an aftertaste packed with Belgian yeast flavors. The palate fuses a thick texture, average carbonation, and medium body.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle into weizen glass. Pours a hazy gold with a 1 finger creamy head. Aroma - citrus notes, primarily lemon as well as some yeast spicy notes, especially clove. Taste is a mix between wit and Hefeweizen with some banana/clove notes and citrus (again mostly lemon). Not sure what makes this a winter warmer, but it is nice. Would be excellent on a hot summer day.
