Nice take on the belgian witbier/german hefeweissen run. Not sure if this is a light hefe with coriander or if it’s a heavy-bodied wit, but it’s tasty. Not especially heavy, bitter, or malty, but not intended to be, this still has plenty of complex flavor. Batch number 7760 - I like the idea of printing the batch numbers. Snatched from City Beverage in Winston-Salem, no one else in this area has Bells for sale, much less cold.

Bottle. Cloudy gold color with a medium head. One of the better American Hefeweizen beers I’ve had. Aroma was clove and bananas. Taste was spicy cloves and fruity banana.

Pint on tap. Hazy straw color with a lasting disc of foam. Nose is bubblegum, resin, light citrus and toffee. Tastes the same. Light-medium body is a little too fizzy but has a nice drinkable balance.

Nose is dominated by coriander, moderate carmelized banana, mild clove. Flavor is same plus vanilla, lemon zest, pepper, orange marmalade, mild raw wheat. Medium body, prickly, strong carb. Very substantive for style.

Hazy yellowish appearance. I’d say more like a summer/spring brew but has some winter spices to it. Some citrus flavors, banana maybe, wheaty-belgian yeast, etc. Aroma a little skunky-sour....citrus balances it out some. Slight hoppy finish. On clearane for about $4 or $5 a 6-pack, so figured I’d give it another try.

Can. Pours hazy pale yellow with large spongy white head, citrus aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sour lemon taste, abrupt finish. Easy to drink but not that impressive.
